Originally hailing from Northern California, SOWELU transported to the Los Angeles area in 1991 and was introduced to the LA Underground music scene almost immediately. Over the past 30 years she has spent most of her young adult life, dancing in a warehouse or underneath the desert stars as her recreational past time. She discovered an environment that cultivated a spiritual union with the music, which seemed to evolve at a rate, faster than any musical genre ever had! It was here that she was able to maintain a connection with her love for music by expressing herself through ritualistic dancing. In March of 2004, she decided DJing was the next step in her effort to express herself with music. By July of that same year, she had put together her first tech-house mix and landed a residency at a bi-monthly event in Hollywood, called Residence. Over the last 17 years she has played in venues all over North America, alongside some of the biggest names to come out of the Electronic Dance Music era. She has been featured on numerous radio shows and podcasts, and in January of 2012 joined the HouseWreckaz Radio crew as a rotating Host.  
Although her predominant genre is and always has been Tech House, her style can fluctuate from Dub Step to Rock to Minimal Techno to Hip Hop.  Known for her “story telling” mixes, blending melodic vocals and heavy hitting bass lines, with a touch of her own spiritual energy, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with. So sit back and listen, as she takes you through an electronic musical journey with the track selection placed so that vocals tell the story, corresponding to the title.

Emiliano Martini BIO: 

Puerto Rican DJ and producer Emiliano Martini is one of the Caribbean's leading DJs and a House- Techno producer with a truly global appeal. 

Raised on a wide musical diet of Latin music, new age and disco by his jazz musician father, Emiliano Martini produces Deep Tech / Minimal House / Experimental and Electronic music. 

Largely writing using analogue hardware, his deep grooves and minimal techno sound has been signed to several major labels including Nervous, Pleasure Zone and Lapsus Music, while his tracks have been remixed by DJ Rasoul, Sven Jaeger, CHKLTE and JNJS to name a few. 

Not just a producer with a truly global following, Emiliano is also a main player in the Caribbean’s dance music scene, with several name-checks from dance music bible Mixmag. He’s DJ’d at the region’s biggest events & Clubs, including Electric Daisy, Movement Getaway, Club Fifty Eight and the Corona Pro Surf Circuit and played alongside some of the biggest techno names including tINI, Gaiser,             Seth Troxler, Danny Daze, Matthew Dear, Damian Lazarus and dozens more. 

Alongside that, Emiliano’s music has been played at some of the world’s best clubs, including London’s Egg, Barraca in Valencia and Movement in Detroit, while Emiliano has DJ’d at shows in Brooklyn, Seattle, Miami and Tampa. 

In 2012, he launched his first record label Proper Slap, which was a vehicle for Puerto Rican producers while he later started Proper Slap Limited which featured producers from around the world. 

Emiliano continues to represent Puerto Rican electronic music, both with his gigs across his home country and his cutting-edge productions on some of the best-respected labels in the world.

In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romania’s Tzinah Records, Moscow’s Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12” releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germany’s almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of techno’s rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.
