Born in Baltimore, MD, artist Marlo De Lara received a PhD in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds. Her artistic practice works within the realms of sound performance, visual distraction, and film. Working under the moniker ‘marlo eggplant’, her sound art is a production of textural compositions which develop from microscopic tone landscapes into dense and expansive states of noise and drone. Her works aim to blur the definitions of (un)intentional sound and music. As curator and organizer of the Ladyz in Noyz (LIN) international compilation series/collective, an ongoing project from 2008 to the present, she continues to promote emerging artists and musicians who are women.

She has toured the United States extensively including the Victoria Noise fest (BC) , Norcal Noisefest, Denver Noise Festival, Outsound Series, Titwrench Festival, and various locally curated satellite International Noise Conferences.

Liquid Architecture, operating since 2002, is a community-founded, artist-first organisation that exists to explore sonic relationships and practices on the radical edges of sound and listening.

Terje Paulsen
(b.1958) is a sound artist from Norway, working with simple instruments and equipment, sometimes self made, sounds from found objects &amp; fieldrecordings from his local environment.

Bendigo-based sound & video artist (live performance and installation). I work mainly with field recordings which I sometimes manipulate beyond recognition and layer them to create electroacoustic compositions, and similarly manipulate images. I also design sounds for theatre (eg for Punctum and others). Recent projects include Precipice, Pandemonium Pavillions, The River, Memory Fragment #1, Museum of Lost Sounds (with Paul Fletcher) and I'm Dreaming of a French Meadow (with Jude Anderson, Tara Gilbee & Cedric Peyronnet). I curate experimental music series Undue Noise, help run sound art label cajid media and present Possible Musics, an experimental music program on local community radio (since 1983). I was an environmental microbiologist in a former life, and retain an interest in sonification of scientific data, and creation of art based on water themes. Recently released a mini-cdr Frozen Moment on French label Kaon.

Cédric Peyronnet (aka toy.bizarre / ingeos) is a sound artist working since the ’90 around phonography (Field recordings, “sound hunting”…), soundscapes, using the principles of concrete, acousmatic, electroacoustic music.
