Another magical weekend at Springkell in Scotland (In November 2022 )with a great bunch of heads. So many talented artists were present and blew me away with their music and selections. This set was played in warmup territory at 6:30pm  on day 2 with x2 Technics and with a nice buzz in the room.

On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

London’s Basic Chanel conjures a liquid mist for the latest entry in our series. Chanel’s work documenting the scene through Untitled 909 and her numerous other endeavors - including the Draaimolen podcast and a residency on Refuge Worldwide - will surely be known to many, yet discovering her distinct voice as a DJ and the warm personality behind it all was a revelation even still. This recording is from the first edition of L’Appuntamento, a series of open-air listening sessions initiated by Villa Lontana Records and Donato Dozzy in Rome. Each gathering pairs a vinyl set by Dozzy with a live electroacoustic performance by a new-generation artist.

In this first edition, held in the garden of Villa Lontana, Donato Dozzy opened the evening with a selection of minimal, folkloric, and acoustic-rooted records — setting the tone for Verde Prato’s live performance.

L’Appuntamento is an ongoing invitation to pause, tune in, and share time through listening.

L'Appuntamento with Donato Dozzy + Verde Prato - Listening session at Villa Lontana on 11 May 2024

Here's a mix we recorded especially for Jane Fitz and her amazing DirtySounds Session radio show that goes out on myhouseyourhouse.net every Monday night from 10pm. The mix was aired on 11/02/2013 and was recorded live around November...we think. 

It was made for the radio with love and rest assured no vinyl was inappropriately touched during the recording, not in a sexual way anyway. We mixed it not long after another show we did for Greta Cottage and wanted to make sure it didn't sound the same. So Kris and I dug out some house bombs, slammed a couple of espressos, dropped a Walt J record right at the beginning and went from there.

We recommend listening to it between the hours 10 and 11 at night, preferably on a Monday, but failing that brew up some fair trade coffee and let the sex music take hold.
