Another magical weekend at Springkell in Scotland (In November 2022 )with a great bunch of heads. So many talented artists were present and blew me away with their music and selections. This set was played in warmup territory at 6:30pm  on day 2 with x2 Technics and with a nice buzz in the room.

"The joy and thrill of having unrestricted creative space, setting and curating a festival stage, shaping its aesthetic, and amplifying the sound through our handcrafted soundsystem was an experience to cherish.

As we stepped up to play, Alfonso had already set the tone since sunrise, guiding the crowd with deep, dubby, and minimal sounds. By the time he passed us the decks, the audience was fully immersed in this hypnotic, mellow and groove-driven atmosphere, ready to carry on.

Playing on our soundsystem, on a stage we had envisioned and built from the ground up, was a truly special moment, both the fruition of a dream and the start of something more."

On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

London’s Basic Chanel conjures a liquid mist for the latest entry in our series. Chanel’s work documenting the scene through Untitled 909 and her numerous other endeavors - including the Draaimolen podcast and a residency on Refuge Worldwide - will surely be known to many, yet discovering her distinct voice as a DJ and the warm personality behind it all was a revelation even still. Jagger and the Bat - Keep it Deep Guest Mix

Born in south-east Turkey, Banu is a DJ, producer, and sound artist who uses music as a political tool - a vehicle to express deep emotion and challenge systems of oppression. Her work sits at the intersection of contemporary art and activism, weaving together participation, social design, ecology, and feminist and queer theory into powerful multimedia installations where sound takes center stage.

This mix is a beautiful reflection of Banu’s multifaceted practice. Blending immersive soundscapes, Downtempo, and exceptional sound design, it’s a sonic journey that speaks to both the personal and the political - featuring some of our favorite artists and sounds we hold close. This recording is from the first edition of L’Appuntamento, a series of open-air listening sessions initiated by Villa Lontana Records and Donato Dozzy in Rome. Each gathering pairs a vinyl set by Dozzy with a live electroacoustic performance by a new-generation artist.

In this first edition, held in the garden of Villa Lontana, Donato Dozzy opened the evening with a selection of minimal, folkloric, and acoustic-rooted records — setting the tone for Verde Prato’s live performance.

L’Appuntamento is an ongoing invitation to pause, tune in, and share time through listening.
