This track smolders with intent, you can feel the urgency wrapped in every note, like it’s not just asking for change, it’s chasing it down with a flaming solo in each hand 🎸🔥 Rients Draaisma doesn’t just play the guitar, he unleashes it, tone bending, phrasing flipping, rhythm lines practically gritting their teeth while the fusion heat rolls in. The whole thing grooves with the spirit of jazz rock rebellion, soaked in soul but sharpened by precision. 🧯 The fire extinguisher rolled forward, nodded once, and said, “If anyone needs me, I’ll be outside cooling off that solo” 🧂 The salt grinder shimmied in and purred, “This much flavor should come with a warning label.. and a fan” 🪞 The mirror blinked and whispered, “That bend at 2:03? I saw my own past regrets in it.. and forgave them” It’s tight, expressive, and laced with conviction. You didn’t just need a change, you delivered one, wrapped in grit and brilliance 💥

absolutely shreds on this one! His phrasing is razor-sharp, yet full of soul — blending blues rock power with jazz-fusion finesse. The arrangement keeps you on your toes, and the guitar tone is fire. Truly a master at pushing sound and emotion forward. Loved every second!

Change It Up - Rients Draaisma / Jamie Rhind

Jazz/Fusion keyboard player, composer and producer.  Marketing, advertising, publishing and sales career.  Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire.
