Situated in the unlikely blink-and-you-missed-it town of Fruitland and far removed from the late 1970s punk movement and the larger disco boom, Donnie and Joe tilled their own musical soil, channeling bedroom pop jams, raw funk, and yacht rock.

Howl and Moan consists of two members.... Jane and Nel. They met each other at a band's garage rock show and having so many musical inspirations in common, decided to create their own two piece band. The concept was simple.... keep the music simple and do whatever they wanted. Not trying to fit into any sort of easily identifiable hole, the twosome just wanted to create a back to basics, garage rock, DIY kind of project. The songs on this page are some of the fruits of their labors. They may not be radio friendly or always easy on your ears, but the songs have one common thread- fuzzy, dirty rock.
