Liar Liar

It's so sad  that we can not have gigs.  Musicians all around the world still have hard times due to pandemic.
I composed this song for my band, but the next gig is cancelled because COVID-19 infection is increasing again. So I present this song in one-man band style here .

it was only after i wrote, recorded, and published this song that I realized that figs do not exactly swell out of flowers.  Please forfig me.

I like the change of seasons for the angle of the light
and the feeling that the weather will be changing overnight

I like the air in the winter though it seizes in my lungs
and I cough like I am dying but I love that gentle sun

Tick tock        
I do a mic drop     
Onto the wet rot        
To make a new stalk

The summer melts my worries as the grassy hills turn brown
On the road as we are driving to the beach, where I will drown

Fall is reassuring :  No, we will not roast forever 
As the santa ana winds bend down and yield to cooler weather

I love you, sky!                  
I love you wind!
Pollen, nectar, bark and limb
I am of you, and you are mine
The leaf is born as winter dies

Spring is for seduction as the figs swell out of flowers
And the tadpoles grow their froggy legs  and rain comes down in showers
