As a kid inspired by artist like Giorgio Moroder, Snap, Depech Mode, Rozalla and different genres like hardtrance, hardcore, hip hop late 90's to defected house ibiza tunes around 2005.  

With this melt pot of music he started to create his own groovy tech vibe that he felt to play and create for his and all's pleasure. Later on starting organising house & techno parties booking artists like Tapesh, Latmun , Luuk van dijk and many more  in local clubs and venues in 2018. now he's producing tracks to release end 2019.

As event experience he played at Brussels City Parade 2018, Catamaran Barcelona 2018 and  in several clubs in Antwerp  such as Club Vaag & Ampere and club Toffler Rotterdam under the name  Black + Dekker with my dear friend Dj Davence and now solo as dj MikeM

What and who is A Darker Wave?
We are a duo (jacki-e & p-mac) who present A Darker Wave every week only on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio, Echo Radio & Chill Lover Radio. We put the show together in our home studio. The show is streamed worldwide on the internet. Each show is posted on our Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Hearthis.at, Podbean and You Tube pages once it has been streamed and presents the best in new techno releases.
We also play gigs as A Darker Wave and we have played at events in Germany and all over the UK.
The music we play is techno, tech house, deep house and anything else we like enough to include in the show.
Each show is 2 hours long. In the first hour we go into the mix with our featured EP of the week and the best of the new releases.
In the second hour we invite new and upcoming DJs to come onto the show and do a guest mix.

Why are you called A Darker Wave?
Dark Wave was first used in the 1980s to describe a dark and melancholy variant of new wave and post-punk music and was first applied to UK musicians such as Bauhaus, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode and Anne Clark. It was also used to describe artists who combined music with performance art, such as Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, who challenged and explored the darker and obsessive sides of the human condition.

A lot of techno takes its spirit and ethos from this music, Listen to Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire and you can hear the industrial sounds which are a staple of techno music today.

Techno is the outsider of electronic dance music, the punk of today's modern music scene. As Dave Clarke said in an interview with Mixmag, " Techno is edgy. Techno will challenge you......it's the real dark art."

Our radio show, in presenting the best in underground techno and deep house music, and in giving an opportunity for new, up and coming DJ's and producers, is providing an outlet for new techno, which is best described as being the new wave of modern dance music.

Not just a new wave, but with it's incessant bass rumblings, synthesiser drones, pounding drums, melodic top notes and eerie, distorted vocal samples, techno, in all its forms, is a backdrop to and a critique of our post-industrial, consumerist society, one in which our actions are observed 24/7, our democratic freedoms are threatened by our very own governments and our rights to do, think and act as we please are under ever increasing scrutiny. Techno really is A Darker Wave.

When we were listening to music in the 60’s and 70’s, before the electronic tentacles of technology infiltrated the world, we often thought, whilst listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Captain Beefhart, New York Dolls and Roxy Music, where would music go to in the future? It could never be what was being portrayed in the science fiction movies of the time. Now we know. It can be anything. When we have a recording studio in our own home which is more powerful and versatile than anything available back then, we now know music can be anything and go anywhere. It is only the spark of our imaginations, or lack of it, that holds us back. On our laptop computers we have the capabilities that many artists back then would have given their right arms for. It’s for the uniqueness of the artist to express themselves to be able to stand out from the deluge of music available. Finding those gems is the modern day equivalent of crate digging and when you do, it makes it all worthwhile. Long live music!!!!

Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.

Skanktronic has been an active participant in the Dutch House Scene since the early 90’s and can therefore be seen as a veteran. In the early years he mainly contributed to the graphic aspects of House with bold designs for flyers and album covers for a wide variety of record companies and raves. In 1996 he joined a renowned professional audio supplier in the Netherlands. At that time to be considered the only supplier with the right knowledge in midi and recording equipment that was needed in the scene. From this moment on this started to get intense.

Allex is a DJ and producer from Slovakia. 
His musical journey started from young age, founding his undenying passion for electronic music. Spent many years crafting his distincitive sound by challenging himself producing various genres, from deep house to techno or even orchestral music. All this experience can now be heard in his beautifully crafted tracks with strong arrangements and attention to detail in every aspect, combining instruments with no boundaries. Storytelling and complex grooves are very important elements in his latest progressive and organic creations, full of percussions, inspired by the nature and soulfull living. From time to time, Allex joins forces with a DJ and studio partner in crime, Tompy, with whom often plays b2b gigs to bring deep musical journeys to minds of people in front of them. Being able to release music through labels such as Univack, Droid9, Natura Viva, SLC-6 Music or Sudam gave him the opportunity to be heard by many, dream that he was always going for.

Meet Cosmic Connection, a married couple from Sweden who share a profound love for deep, dark, and melodic sounds. As both DJs and producers, Malin and Hemo bring a distinctive blend of creativity and passion to their craft.

Cosmic Connection was founded in 2019, yet its roots trace back four years prior when Malin and Hemo coincidentally encountered each other during a vacation in Kaş, a charming Mediterranean town in southern Turkey. It was in that moment that they recognised a cosmic connection to each other and knew instinctively that they had found their better half.

Their journey took a significant turn when Hemo relocated from Turkey to start a new life with Malin in Sweden. Together, they invested in their first stereo, complete with a built-in vinyl player, igniting the idea of forming a vinyl-only DJ duo.
Hemo's musical voyage traces back to the mid-90s when he first discovered dance music through cassette tapes recorded from various radio stations. This passion propelled him to begin DJing in clubs across Istanbul in the early 2000s. Malin, on the other hand, discovered dance music just a few years before meeting Hemo and instantly fell in love with the scene. Drawn to the energy of the music, her passion deepened as she explored different genres and attended live events, ultimately leading her to discover her own unique style and sound.

Over the years, Cosmic Connection has evolved from its origins as performance DJs to multifaceted music producers. Drawing inspiration from Hemo's decades-long involvement in dance music and Malin's background in stage and performing arts, their evolution has been marked by a common goal: to share their love and connect with listeners on a profound level, revealing their perspectives on life and the universe.
Their music, whether as DJs or producers, offers a rare intensity and nuanced musicality. With a passion for synthesizers, Cosmic Connection delves into the depths of sound waves to create musical stories that captivate and inspire. Their compositions are more than just music; they are immersive journeys that speak to the listener and invite them on a transformative sonic adventure.
