One of Arrival's core artists, Russian artist Gregory Esayan, has previously showcased his talent with EPs such as "One Way Ticket" and "Cold Breath". His music has been supported by the likes of Solarstone, Jaytech, Ruben De Ronde, and Boom Jinx, and since his first appearance on Silk in 2012, he has only continued to present listeners with unique and uplifting songs. We're extremely proud to present Gregory's debut artist album, "Impressionism", on Arrival, featuring 10 inspiring progressive cuts. 

The title track begins with a hypnotic female speech segment, while Gregory's signature arpeggio lines build up in the background. "On The Horizon" features unique guitar riffs and gorgeous vocal effects. The break introduces lush piano lines, as well as intricate percussion stems. A splendid atmosphere is quickly established in "Your Warmth", the break of which sees the introduction of outstanding synth work and various sound effects. Previously featured as a single on parent label Silk Digital which reached #35 on the Beatport Breaks Top 100 chart, "Starman" features a stunning breakbeat and wonderful layered melodies. "Once More", featuring Japanese pop singer and song-writer Ai Takekawa, is a blissful song composed of Ai's beautiful vocals and Gregory's unmistakably well-crafted melodies and textures. Starting out with space-inspired radio chatter, "Call Of Space" features smooth percussion elements, as well as enjoyable string layers that we witness in the break. "Drawing The Life" starts out with a wealth of interesting sound effects and well-crafted female vocal stems. The soundscape slowly evolves, and is beautifully supported by subtle guitar riffs. Ai Takekawa makes her second appearance on this album in "Monday Night". The memorable chorus hook is smoothly enhanced by the vast array of unique melodies. Starting out with a tremendous atmosphere with wondrous sound effects, "Pilgrimage" features a prominent bassline groove and goose bumps-inducing sounds throughout the entire song. Closing out the album, "Triumph" starts with a unique and energetic riff, later accompanied by Gregory's signature guitar riffs and lush female vocal stems.

It is time to open up a new year on PHW as we see our first release of the year prepared for you all and we do it what we feel the best possible way. For our opener 2018 we see the return of Dutch producer Morrison Kiers on the label, this time through a collaboration with Slovakian progressive duo Mark & Lukas. He also contribute to the release with single worked original to make it a 2 track EP full of sparkling melodies and warm elements. 

First out is the collaboration, named as “Sand Castle” and here we hear a rich plethora of melodic arrangements, packed together with warm harmonies, spellbound layers of atmosphere that definitely is to take you away if the melodic and uplifting approach of progressive music is your thing. Superb stuff from all of them to open up the year. 

To second, we are delighted to pull through the little gem named as “Vega” as well, to in a sort complete the package. This one, worked by Morrison Kiers all alone, see him deliver in full flare once again. With a laid back feel, full of melodic layers, warm layers of stabs to deliver a thick feel on the track makes this another fine progressive production from him, just as we want it.

Give it up for Morrison Kiers and Mark & Lukas as they open up 2018 on PHW!

Biography:
Renald Joseph Benedicto, a musician, songwriter, and producer of electronic music located in Toronto, started out as jav3x (jaah-vecks) in the early 2010s. He spent most of his adolescence learning how to play piano and guitar, until he began producing music in 2011. After a decade-long tenure in the progressive house sub-genre, jav3x has transformed into his current sound, Pop EDM. 

Since, jav3x has secured official remixes for Mokita ’s sleepwalking (sleepwalking - jav3x remix) and Carla Morrison ’s Encontrarme (Encontrarme - jav3x Remix), amassing over 1.5 million plays in the process. He then worked on Can't Forget, his collaboration with GhostDragon and Daye, which had been released on Wave Music's label: Paradise Music. The track has been featured on Spotify’s Pixel Garden editorial playlist amongst powerhouse artists such as Porter Robinson and Skrillex. After experiencing great success, jav3x and Daye went on to collaborate again on Something's Different, bridging pop ballads and electronic dance music together.

He then produced two originals, Finding Hope and Want Me or Not with Lexi Scatena, proving that his signature sound had now been cemented through strength and emotion. 

jav3x is hosting his debut live concert in Toronto on November 30th at the Revival Bar and Lounge. With performances by Lexi Scatena and Celestial, an EDM DJ based in Toronto, he is evolving into the next phase of his career with live performances. For more information, go to jav3xmusic.com.
