Navigating through sights, sounds, encounters

Marco baldini,aka waldo, is a milano based dj that come from a small town provice located between  the north west side of Italy.

From 2018 he start pushing music in small home town location after  co-fouding the party project Venerdischi, an event that proposed different  genre of live and dj set, supporting all the different musical shade of the small local scene.

After few years involved in music and different experience between Canterbury and Berlin at the end of 2019 he joined the Milan based collective and venue Tempio del Futuro Perduto; since that he got the occasion to improve ad expand his personal music taste ad knowledge about music ad art.

After a short period of collaboration he got the possibility to get a monthly residency that split from an Italo-Ebm side to a Electro-Breakbeat and more fast atmosfere. 

Having the honor to play alongside many artists as Curses,Virginia, Melanie havens, Sedef Adasi, Jenifer Cardini, Sha Ru  an also be part of different label showcase as Pinkman 10 years anniversary and Bordello a Parigi he definitely took his spot on the Milano scene following that imprinting.

His distinctive taste ad selecta get him alongside the crowd while playing, try to get the right connection between bouncy beats and an intimate feeling with the dancefloor creating a cozy state of trance that make people focusing on dancing, and no more.

The Berlin-based project Flat Maze embodies the essence of the concept of Techno-Jazz. Their mix between the instrumental jazz solos with techno grooves and deep synths, results in an innovative sound. It aligns perfectly with the artistic manifesto of the Jazz-o-Tech label. The name Flat Maze comes from the fusion of two significant Berlin clubs: the ,B Flat" jazz club in Mitte and„Maze", an underground techno club in Kreuzberg. Stefano Mori, founder, producer, and live electronics act performer of the Flat Maze project, has long been active in the Berlin electronic music scene, with dj collectives like Mechatronica and Drei Groschen Disko. In the Flat Maze project, he collaborates with some of the most sought-after jazz musicians in the Berlin jazz-scene, such as Uri Gincel. Being the main live jazz musician of the project, Uri is also a composer alongside Stefano for Flat Maze's tracks. On Flat Maze's stage, musicians of the caliber of saxophonist Ori Jacobson, Sebastian Studnitzky and John-Dennis Renken can be seen. Flat Maze's performed it's unique sound at major festivals dedicated to the fusion of jazz with electronic music such as XJAZZ Berlin, Jazz:REfound in Turin, Jazz by the Sea in Fano, JazzMI in Milan; and in clubs both in Berlin and Milan, including sold-out performances at Kantine am Berghain, Suicide Circus, Sage Beach in Berlin Smolna in Warsaw and Bachelite Clab and Biko in Milan.

The project is born in order to merge tradition with modernity, improvisation and experimentation, and to create a new genre: techno-jazz. Finally the elegant arrangements and intricate jazz solos can develop along the modern structures of Techno and Electronica, taking the listeners on an emotional, hypnotic and intense journey.
