My small hardware based studio grows and the gear start to find their place. Bass from SE-02 this time and the Korg Minilogue XD Module is hooked up permanently now, for the lead this time. The SH-01a shines in the simple yet central arpeggio and polyphonic sequence department. Drums from TR-06s, not very elaborative but I'll get there. 707 is the best! Microfreak does the chorused saw keys. General reverb from Valhalla and compression from Waves. Can you spot the sampled sliced lo-fi voice?

In highschool I wanted a Roland JV-80 but could only afford a simpler Ensoniq workstation. Some decades later I am slowly being dragged towards romplers again, perhaps its the sound of now. So I bought a used JV-880, the rack version of said Roland flagship of 1991. It's neat, like a baby brother of JV-1080, and it has that Fairlight vox sample in its rom. Here is a ballade I wrote with mostly JV-880 sounds. Bass is from Waldorf Pulse 2, although this specific JV is known for and could easily bring as deep bass as an analog to the table.

#10 will be the final section, and I'll probably release it in a couple of weeks. 

I've been mostly gone from online stuff for about 3 weeks. Work's been slammed and I've been struggling to keep on top, and my eyes are all twitchy and uncomfy when I try to look at screens any time after 5 pm. I hope all of you are well. Seems like things have been in a continual downward spiral, but there are rays of light here and there. 

Oh, while I'm here, a couple of interesting things I observed or learned recently, that may or may not be of interest to you:

1. There's a spider called the "ant spider" that looks and moves like an ant. It pretends its front legs are antenna, and it's kind of adorable. Also terrifying. Very fast. 

2. The black-capped chickadees went away from my back yard. My aunt said they had left her farm too. But then they came back. Or at least two of them did. I'm happy to see them. 

3. The hierarchical division seen in public school and in modern business derives at least partially from the Prussian Army?!

This track was first created as an instrumental track. The samples came in when the song was almost finished. All samples were basically from the movie The Giant of Metropolis, and at a later stage samples came from the TV series Space 1999. Just when this track was almost finished, some samples were replaced with Greta Thuberg's speech she gave at the UN
