Very upbeat ... great effort by all three of you!!  Totally enjoyed.

Clockwork

I've had a terrible cold/flu for about a month.  I bought myself a new guitar (Simon & Patrick acoustic) and a new microphone (Rodes NT1A) just before I got sick.  I've been dying to put them to (good) use.  The rhythm came off the S&P acoustic one evening then I finished off the rest the next morning, using some of the grandkids' shaker toys for percussion!!!  This was a blast to put together.  First time using a djembe and first offering using a harmonica.

As for the song, well it is just about relationships and how usually one person becomes more dominant which makes it (sometimes) frustrating for the other.  Pent up frustration leads to saying mean things.  Saying things which one regrets almost immediately but you can never truly take it back (and have it all forgotten).  Been there.  Done that.  Have the bloody t-shirt.

Being a guitarist and songwriter since 1967, Jeff Wyatt has been affected by many musical influences that inevitably rear their heads in his music. But when it comes to overall preference of musical styles, he often falls back onto composition that includes some type of blues or blues/rock influence, although he would not strictly try to label himself a blues-man. Even though he tinkers with a variety of instruments, guitar is by far his specialty (electric, finger-style acoustic in standard and open tunings, and slide which he uses on both electric and acoustic guitar). Since his work is both instrumental and lyrical, electric and acoustic, it is difficult at times to strictly categorize. People compare his guitar work and vocal style to a combination of Ry Cooder, David Wilcox, Mark Knopfler, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Gordon Lightfoot, Jeff Beck and others.

Jeff has performed in and around the Vancouver area along with a host of talented musical friends, who have included Kevin Rintoul (bass & vocals), Brian Dierks (drums & vocals), Clyde Griffith (congas), Phil Howell (bass & vocals), Stephen Berne (drums), Vince Iormetti (drums), Al Fauteux (bass), Dave Fauteux (drums)... in various band combinations. He had performed in the blues trio Jeff Wyatt & the Wreckin' Crew, with a solid rhythmn section consisting of Phil Howell (bass & vocals) and Vince Iormetti (drums).
