Nostalgia with a twist - Casual Connection brings a freshness to the Disco, Funk & RnB gems that he so expertly curates. Sampling, editing and re-working classic tracks, his productions are respectful of their origination while bringing something modern and inventive to create a genuine and unique signature sound. 

Casual Connection's, aka Lukasz Ru-Kasu absorbed music from an early age as if by osmosis. From age 8 he grew a passion for music and now has been actively DJing since 2002 and producing since 2014.

Since he started producing back in 2014, Casual Connection has been named in Traxsource's Top 100 Nu Disco artists for 7 consecutive years. He has also been featured in DJ Mag, DJ City, Warner Music's Cool Accidents and gotten over 65 #1's on Hyppedit.

As a DJ, Casual Connection has built a strong following in his hometown, Perth, as well as playing gigs in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Queensland, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia (Bali) & Splendour In The Grass, Club MTV, RnB Friday's, Listen Out Festival, Spiltmilk Festival, Groovin The Moo Festival, VIVID Festival.

As a producer, his tracks are played all over the world with support from some of the biggest names in the game such as All Good Funk Alliance, The Funk Hunters, Featurecast, Dr Packer, DJ Yoda, John Morales, Mark Rae, Pete Herbert, Fort Knox Five, Grant Nelson, The NDYD collective and many others.

Shirtless and shoeless, TÂCHES sits cross-legged in the dirt gently taking in his mountain surroundings. It’s clear that he’s deep in thought as he mindfully traces the shape of a fallen leaf in his hand and a slight smile gently spreads across his face. There’s a tangible feeling of love and fascination communicated through the way he looks at the world around him and it’s precisely this holistic approach to creativity that makes him such a captivating artist. This is the makeup of a being that finds passion and inspiration anywhere he looks. 

Contradictorily, he is as much a devotee to tradition as he is a breaker of rules. TÂCHES is uninterested in following trends, and instead seeks to provoke the senses through a deeply personal examination of culture and cliche. Conceptual without ever being pretentious, his music shows a deep rooted appreciation for the textures of the times passed and faraway places. There’s a certain urgency to capture the world as he perceives it; albeit a world seen through the rose tinted lenses of a creature forever romantically entangled with his surroundings.

There’s no one way to sum up TÂCHES’s music, as it’s perpetually in growth, bending and swaying like a tree in the wind. This sonic metamorphosis is due to a primal need to experiment coupled with a deep longing to express the continually transforming experience of being human. Drawing heavily from emotion and memory, there’s a clear sense of nostalgia in all that he creates. His pure and unabashed desire to combine the things that he loves manifests itself as rich and evocative music with massive personality and palpable global flavours. 

TÂCHES’s desire to build upon the world in which his music exists led to the creation of his label GLITTER COWBOY - the peculiar home for the sonic documentation of his journey. Made up of Frank Cueto and Rusty Belicek, the All Good Funk Alliance has opened up for James Brown, DJ'd all around the world, written songs for commercials, T.V. and movies, and have appeared on the Breakspoll Top 50 list and was included in The Little Big Beat book,. In other words, these guys are no strangers to the funk. And while their musical tastes range the gamut, when Frank and Rusty join forces the end result is always the same: they deliver a sound that is funky, fun and fresh.

Currently one-half of the synthwave duo, Velocity 128, Jonathan Lim is an electronic musician, producer, and DJ whose music draws from new wave, alternative rock, and dance music influences to create a soundtrack for nostalgic afternoon vibes and afterhour dance sessions. For live performances, Velocity 128 continues their residency at Betamax Video Club - a monthly synthwave and 80s B-movie event in Washington, DC.

Previously, as a keyboard player and co-songwriter for the electronic rock band, 23RAINYDAYS, the band received media attention in 2009 when MTV selected the band as a Top 3 Breakout Artist out of DC.

After deciding that some things are just better when combined, like a beer in your hand or boobs in your face… Two of Australia's favourite producers have decided to join forces to create the suitably named project STAUNCH. And STAUNCH is exactly that - bass heavy, riff laden mid tempo grooves that are sure to make a mess of any dance floor…

We're so connected, but can be so far apart. This is the distinct reality of modern life, creating the feeling that shapes the sound of cosmopolitan duo E1sbar. Nearly 500 miles separate Piper Davis (Toronto) and Francisco Cueto (Washington DC metro area), and they've never met. But as E1sbar the two seamlessly collaborate on an ethereal style of electronic pop that encapsulates the allure of traveling without moving. Wherever you go, there you are. Davis's often soaring vocals compliment Francisco Cueto's meticulous production. The overall sound of E1sbar is immersive, slick, and utopian; a 3D sound that inspires visions of monorails and jet packs. The pair's distance subtly influences the mood, but the collaboration remains intimate and entwined.
