     Howdy everyone and I hope everyone had a great Labor Day, without laboring of course!😂 This is another of my instrumentals, which actually had lyrics but the vocals were not recorded too well so I made it into an instrumental. It's about having that Las Vegas experience which I'm sure nobody can afford anymore with this economy unless you're a billionaire! I've been to Vegas many times and most times I've lost, hence the title "Lost Wages"! I'm not a gambler, so when I lose a couple of hundred dollars I start sweating profusely!!😂 It's a fast paced song and I played like a boogie-woogie synthesizer on it and a rock guitar. Charlie played a groovy harmonica on it too! I've decided to drop an instrumental and a cover song every month from now on besides my normal songs and videos.      The video was a lot of fun to put together and it's all about Las Vegas, the gambling, the show girls, the drinking, the excesses, pretty decadent stuff! There's is a lot of eye-candy here for the grown-ups to enjoy! It drops tomorrow on YouTube! The original song with lyrics was called "My Neck Of The Woods" so if Charlie and I rerecord the vocals, I'll make a video of it as well. I hope everyone enjoys this song and video and remember, don't gamble unless you can afford to lose a ton of money and are rich because it is an addiction! Last time we went to Las Vegas, back before the pandemic, it was for about a week and all we saw were the shows and never gambled, that was my favorite trip because I didn't lose a dime! But guess what? We're going back to Las Vegas in December 2025 to watch the new "Wizard Of Oz" spectacular in The Sphere! Check out the clips on YouTube, it's really mind-blowing! No gambling!! Si les plus beaux paysages sont au-dessus de la ligne d’horizon chaque continent a son génie du ciel ....  Le ciel change chaque jour et imprime d’imperceptibles nuances grâce à ses nuages aux mille et une forme. Tout ciel nuageux en forme de gaze longiforme donnent cette « mélancolique lessive d’or du couchant » dont parlait si bien Rimbaud .... La fin d'été approche et nous pouvons observer maintenant un ciel plein de gros nuages blancs et aux nuances de gris, bourgeonnants, rembourrés, cotonneux, mais aussi lumineux comme des lampes au reflets lactescent …. 
J'ai essayé d'être représentatif de ce phénomène avec les nuances harmoniques de ce concept ….

The sky changes every day and prints imperceptible nuances thanks to its clouds with a thousand and one shape. All cloudy sky in the shape of a long gauze give this "melancholic laundry of the sunset" of which Rimbaud spoke so well .... The end of summer is approaching and we can now observe a sky full of large white clouds and shades of gray, budding, padded, cottony, but also luminous like lamps with lactscent reflections …. I tried to be representative of this phenomenon with the harmonic nuances of this concept .... 

Towards The Clouds ....

In the dusty attic of his grandfather’s old house, Dan, who suffers from insomnia, finds a yellowed parchment in the middle of the night. Part of the old eccentric’s legacy? Long ago, he had roamed dark forests, crossed deserts, and explored inaccessible mountains.

The parchment shows, though only faintly, a location in El Caramar — the legendary place his grandfather had told so many stories about. Without delay, Dan sets out in search of further clues. The route leads across the storm-lashed Horka Sea, inhabited by dark creatures. Upstream, through narrow gorges, he must face the natives who guarded the entrance to El Caramar and the secret it conceals.

This purely orchestral music draws on the clichés of film scores from the 1980s to the 2000s. Instead of a clearly recognizable theme or leitmotif, I tried to express rapidly shifting moods through specific instrumentation.

A gentle melody with harp arpeggios immediately transitions into a menacing rhythmic section with chromatic harmony, followed by a tension-filled passage with a strong element of aleatoric writing. The now accelerating tempo leads to the main motif but shifts directly into an action-packed part with string staccatos.

The motif is then varied and played at half speed by solo strings, taking on a very sorrowful tone. But then the mood turns serious. Low brass and a string ostinato lead to the climax of the piece, another variation of the theme in which the choir joins in at full volume.

La Dernière Séance - Cover (Eddy Mitchell)

Lover of orchestral film scores and epic music.

I had started making music in the 90s with my Amiga 500 but it wasn't capable (me neither) of producing the sound of a whole orchestra.

The diverse musical expressions in filmscores have a bigger emotional impact than any other genre I can think of. My music is heavily inspired by the great composers around 1980-2000, like John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Basil Poledouris and Hans Zimmer.

With synthesizers, a whole new world of sound has entered the arena and merges with the orchestra to a fantastic sonic experience.

I try to tell stories and convey emotions in my pieces to take you onto a journey into unknown territory.
