Story:

Colonel Kidrick's squad disembarked from the dropship. Sent to secure a colony that had gone silent, they were prepared for insurrection or bandits — not what they found. Suddenly the sand erupted. Spindly, insect-like creatures the size of horses, their exoskeletons glinting in the light, attacked. Kidrick calls for reinforcement but nevertheless fought at the frontline with his team in a merciless combat. They fought through the night, holding their ground despite mounting casualties. Though their numbers dwindled, their spirit burned bright as Colonel Kidrick yelled the directive:

Music:

The tracks starts with some synths that melt into soft and slow string harmonies to express the calm trip to the colony. The encounter of the aliens is sonically expressed with synth braaams, low brass and a string ostinato. A bright horn melody and rhythmic short strings should match the heroic vibe. The following part with mainly minor chords show the loss and sorrow of fellow soldiers. The battle continues with even more intensity of the utilized instruments in full dynamics. Aggressive bass pulses support the string shorts, trumpets and horns play a strong melody passing their role to octaved strings. Choir shorts and a drumkit enforce the rhythm until the intro reoccurs at the end.

Lover of orchestral film scores and epic music.

I had started making music in the 90s with my Amiga 500 but it wasn't capable (me neither) of producing the sound of a whole orchestra.

The diverse musical expressions in filmscores have a bigger emotional impact than any other genre I can think of. My music is heavily inspired by the great composers around 1980-2000, like John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Basil Poledouris and Hans Zimmer.

With synthesizers, a whole new world of sound has entered the arena and merges with the orchestra to a fantastic sonic experience.

I try to tell stories and convey emotions in my pieces to take you onto a journey into unknown territory.

Hi, I’m Axel.
After a longer musical hibernation, I started making music again about three years ago – and honestly, it feels amazing! I’ve been hanging around on SoundCloud for about two years now, and I’m constantly blown away by the creativity, variety, and real talent to be found here.

Music is just a hobby for me – which is exactly why I have zero ambitions to make money with it. I’m here simply because it’s fun. So, a small request: Dear annoying promoters with your shady offers – please save us both the trouble, I’m not your guy. I’m not chasing follower counts, click records, or streaming millions. Sure, I’m happy when people listen – but what I value most is connecting with a few honest musicians who feel the same way I do. Quality over quantity, you know?

One thing I do find kind of sad: there’s so much AI-generated music floating around on SoundCloud, often without being labeled. Come on, folks – if a robot wrote your track, at least give R2-D2 the credits.

I play keyboards and have already had the pleasure of creating songs together with some wonderful musicians I met right here on SoundCloud – something I’d love to keep doing. For me, collaboration and exchange are a huge part of what makes music so exciting.

Tech corner, anyone? All my tracks are produced in Cubase 13 Pro. Over time, more and more VST instruments have snuck into my setup – from Spitfire and Native Instruments to Spectrasonics and more. My go-to drum sounds usually come from Toontrack, which have become the rhythmic backbone of many of my tracks. I’ll admit it: I’ve caught a bit of a collecting bug here. Sadly, it’s eating both my wallet and my hard drive space. Will it ever stop? Probably not. 🙄

Style-wise, I love exploring different genres with no limits. For me, the goal is simple: have fun, stay inspired, and keep growing creatively. And every time I stumble upon a track here on SoundCloud that really moves me – the kind of song you’d probably never hear on the radio – it feels like discovering a hidden treasure.

I’m really glad you found my channel – and I hope my music brings you as much joy as it brings me when I create it.

Hi there,
my name is Stefan. Composer, sound sculptor, and professional “what happens if I add a bassoon here?” enthusiast.

I write music because I honestly can’t stop.
I’ve tried. Gardening. Taxes. Meditation. But within three minutes, a string chord sneaks into my head and boom – I’m back at the piano.

So what do I make?
Emotional instrumental music.
Or as my dog would say (if he could talk):
“Something between Hollywood, daydreams, and soft existential drama.”
Strings, piano, orchestra – sometimes epic, sometimes fragile – always aiming to say something that words can’t.

I could list the number of streams, followers, and playlists I’ve not yet been featured on… but let’s be honest: music isn’t a spreadsheet. It’s more like an internal volcano. With strings.

And why do I do this?
Because I believe music can reach places that logic can’t. And because someone has to soundtrack all the bittersweet fantasy worlds living rent-free in my head.

Music like snow. Falling softly, bringing silence.

I make cinematic music, centered around the piano. Often melancholic, but not without hope. Calm, but not without movement. I hope it gives you something.

My path to this kind of music wasn’t straightforward.
I quit piano lessons as a kid after just two months. Years later, I got into recording and collecting sounds. I also began capturing instruments with my modest setup. But there was one problem: I couldn’t actually play one myself. So I bought a keyboard and started taking piano lessons again. From then on I couldn't let go of music.

The music that always stayed with me was film music – fascinated by how it tells stories and how it adds depth to a moment. Over time, my own pieces became more narrative, more atmospheric. Until they became what I share with you today.
