Lost in Translation is a record label based in Brussels founded by two friends in the Spring of 2022. Anchored in the heart of Europe, the project aims to deliver a unique artist driven vision centered on a collaborative approach to musical storytelling. 

Releases are built track by track, providing a space for the featured artists to bounce off of each other’s sonic influences, and weave together a cohesive musical story told from studios around the world.

Accompanied by audiovisual works and short-stories crafted around the music, each release is an exercise in multi-disciplinary world-building, setting out a narrative soundscape that invites listeners to get lost in its evolving atmospheres and rhythms.

Indefinite Pitch PREMIERES. Saphileaum - Prologue [Lost In Translation]

If you missed the original Secret Circuit album ("Green Mirror" 2xLP) which came out last year, it's been lauded as Eddie Ruscha's finest work and has been one of the label's best sellers (and some even saying the label's "best release"). 
To mark a year since its release 4 remixers were asked to re-interpret tracks from the album. As one would expect with original source material that ranges from minimal and space-y tech to properly drifting ambience, the pool of remixers (and the resultant remixes) are equally diverse. 
First up is Glasgow-based tropical traveller Kusht who turns the album's opening track "Undenying" into a trippy slo-mo chugfest. This is followed by Khidja's Andrei Rusu who takes on "Light On The Sand" which comes out transformed into a polyrhythmic Steve Reich-ian epic of stuttering synths and tuned percussion. The Froid Dub remix is as dubby and lo-fi as you'd expect from these two French dub-wave geniuses...and closing up is veteran Switzerland-based experimentalist Michal Turtle whose version takes things in a strange but familiarly emotive direction.
Suffice to say, we love them all and hope you do too!

Sunfear returns to Dark Entries with All at Once, her sophomore LP. Sunfear is the project of Turkish multidisciplinary artist Eylül Deniz. Her music blends intense guitar feedback with layers of noise, creating vast, textured compositions and vocals that evoke a sense of both chaos and beauty. Since 2017, Sunfear has carved out a niche in the experimental music scene, using her guitar and her voice to explore the boundaries of sound and emotion. Her work often feels like a journey through dark, expansive sonic landscapes, reflecting her deep connection to the power of sound. Her aim is self-expressive; these experimental tactics are her narrative and worldbuilding tools.
All at Once shows Deniz deepening her connection to the guitar, her voice, and the Sunfear project as whole. All at Once is a darker album than its predecessor Octopus. On “Above,” sparse guitar riffs meet swirling electronics in a doom-laden reverb chamber. “Bright and Wild” unleashes brittle blasts of feedback over its lush drones. Deniz’s voice, drenched in textural processing, intermittently peeks through the murk, like on the quietly despairing “Littleness.” Optimistic glimmers are still to be found, though, like on album-closer, “Form Changed,” which veers into aquatic pop territory with a softly sauntering beat undergirding its ethereal melodies. The artwork was designed by Eloise Shir-Juen Leigh, and the album includes an insert with liner notes and lyrics. All at Once reflects the dark times we live in, but it does not only live in hopelessness; it recognizes that while loss and trauma may change our forms, we must continue to move forward.

Techno and Balearic undertones remind us of Kalbata’s wide musical spectrum, ranging from very dark to luminous tropical sunlight. Essential!
