This is a site specific performance of my Found Objects and Atmospheres (acoustic translation version) on July 15th at King's College Strand Campus, Somerset House, East Wing, Inigo Rooms,  the space of the Performative and Experiential Translation exhibition. As sound material for my performance I solely used field recordings I made at the campus and its surroundings and some sounds I produced live during the performance. I transformed or "translated" the field recordings into electronic sounds using a framework I set up with tools developed by GRM.

Puddle in the Pegwell Bay mudflats, teeming with life

just dragged a bunch of things that have been kicking around Quick Access [the most recent ｐａｔｚｒ ｒａｄｉｏ , Margaret Rutherford on cycling, field recordings from Byker last Monday, the usual dronal mush i mess about with on a ~daily basis, a percussive bit, a tap dripping] into Audacity & made with the slice & dice; chopping a sequence together, then chopping that up, then chopping that - ended up making an eventful and oddly, to my ears, coherent clag. I'm still super-wary of calling my stuff the em-word but it is what it is, yeh.
