A new collaboration for the first volume of Alumas Visões. This time I had the pleasure to work with Steve Coombes and his amazing improvisational language with his soprano saxophone. 
The track started as a take of Handpan. I was recording a track for meditation programs, and eventually this came up: Steve liked the draft and recorded the sax. I listened to it and added sitar. And here it goes - an infinite point of light

I'm sitting by the window on a mild winter morning. I have a warm cup of tea in my hand and wait for the sun to rise. In the backyard already work the early shift. I do not envy them. Then... a first glowing sunbeam. The morning fog lifts and gives the view into an imaginary future...

Ich sitze am Fenster, an einem milden Wintermorgen. Ich hab eine warme Tasse Tee in der Hand und warte auf den Sonnenaufgang. Im Hinterhof arbeiten schon die Frühschicht. Ich beneide sie nicht. Dann... ein ersten glühender Sonnenstrahl. Der Morgennebel lichtet sich und gibt den Blick frei in eine imaginäre Zukunft.

 Music is one of multiple ways of living fully, being whole and complete, immersed on the vastness of the world. At each music note we can redeem something more from our essence, spread it, echo it, give, receive and be. Svayam is a moment of meditation guided by sound, and it’s offered as an opportunity to be who we really are, to take from the inside what escapes our instant and automatic sensibility. João Sousa guides this voyage - personal, but collective - with a guitar, voice and bowls.
Each body touched by sound is a moment of unique love,
an inexhaustible source of energy. To create with sound is to open doors to the earth, to touch the water, feel the air and transform with fire… For a moment we understand the act of creation, we are that moment, undulating in the ethereal, taking off from matter. Each time Svayam happens, we connect profoundly with humankind, with life, with the cosmos. Let us be all and nothing, here and now, everyone and none.
