This is followed by a leisurely breakfast, setting the pace for the day's responsibilities.

In this precise moment, in these comforting habits, lies the essence of my inspiration. And now, with great excitement, I present to you a soft rock track with heartfelt Czech lyrics, accompanied by the captivating and catchy backing vocals of Maja Štebih.

An old west story of a sort of cowboy Messiah that speaks to current times. How Christ's lessons of being loving and egoless and helping and treating your neighbor as yourself are not heard by many who claim to be Christians. Instead they become frightened by others differences, over righteous, over zealous, judgmental and corrupted by their worship of money and power all in an effort to control what is much bigger than all of us and beyond comprehension and control.

I wrote this short work a while back and recently had the opportunity to re-record the solo cello part (I am the cellist and pianist in the recording)with a full string section for Clockwork Sessions in Glasgow. The work itself was written during lockdown with a view to expressing the brittle nature of our planet and society during that time. Not much seems to have changed...

Wiki says that daydream is a fantasy that a person has while awake.

Daydreaming is the stream of consciousness that detaches from current external tasks when attention drifts to a more personal and internal direction. This phenomenon is common in people's daily life shown by a large-scale study in which participants spend 47% of their waking time on average on daydreaming . There are various names of this phenomenon including mind wandering, fantasy, spontaneous thoughts, etc. Daydreaming is the term used by Jerome L. Singer whose research programs laid the foundation for nearly all the subsequent research in this area today. The list of terminologies assigned by researchers today puts challenges on identifying the common features of the phenomenon, in this case daydreaming, and on building collective work among researchers.

There are many types of daydreams, and there is no consistent definition amongst psychologists, however the characteristic that is common to all forms of daydreaming meets the criteria for mild dissociation. Also, the impacts of different types of daydreams are not identical. While some are disruptive and deleterious, others may be beneficial in some way.

Yes, I'm daydreamer. For this track I used acoustic guitar, oboe and clarinet, upright and supplement it with glockenspiel.

João 𝗦𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺, is a multi instrumentalist, music producer and yoga student / teacher. Connected with the term singer-songwriter but also diverse genres, such as music for meditation, electronic, trip-hop, ambient, free form music, and others.
Lover of nature, passionate world observer, into spiritual questioning and meditation practices.

 Music is one of multiple ways of living fully, being whole and complete, immersed on the vastness of the world. At each music note we can redeem something more from our essence, spread it, echo it, give, receive and be. Svayam is a moment of meditation guided by sound, and it’s offered as an opportunity to be who we really are, to take from the inside what escapes our instant and automatic sensibility. João Sousa guides this voyage - personal, but collective - with a guitar, voice and bowls.
Each body touched by sound is a moment of unique love,
an inexhaustible source of energy. To create with sound is to open doors to the earth, to touch the water, feel the air and transform with fire… For a moment we understand the act of creation, we are that moment, undulating in the ethereal, taking off from matter. Each time Svayam happens, we connect profoundly with humankind, with life, with the cosmos. Let us be all and nothing, here and now, everyone and none.
