"All the Pretty Boys" explores the dream of becoming the most beautiful version of oneself—a fantasy of escaping judgmental stares and rejection into a world where everyone loves you in return. It paints a picture of a place where everyone is a handsome sailor, a model, or a street boy— another world entirely.

It is an upbeat indie-pop song. In addition to being my first solo release outside of First Hate, it is also the title track for the film Sauna, a queer love story based on Mads Ananda Lodahl's book of the same name. Directed by Mathias Broe premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

Heading from his own True Rotary Recordings (co-run with Ena Cosovic), Be As One and recently showing appearance twice on BROR Records sub-label Lilies - Joel Alter presents a diverse three track EP on BROR Records with “BROR07” under his techno alias Jor-El.

The A-side holds the highly effective “In Ur Face” with broken percussions. A track with a daring arrangement that half way through imposes dark energy through the moody bass line and a relentless four to the floor kick work.

On the B-side Jor-El brings the emotive “In Ur Mind”, a perfectly crafted atmospheric techno cut followed by the energetic off-kilter outro “Spectrum”- techno stripped to its bare essentials.

Berlin-based producer SDX continues his raw and relentless output of techno variations on his latest album 'Nocturnal', which is set for release via Sophia Saze's Dusk and Haze imprint.

Among the collection of gritty material is a remix by Los Angeles duo 138, who transform the album's lead track 'MS 04' into a hard-hitting breaks ballad with tight rhythms and rough atmospherics that will have a strong impact on the dancefloor. 

SDX's album 'Nocturnal' is set for release September 10.

PREMIERE: Jor-El - Human Matrix [Uncanny Valley]

The voyage continues with the second instalment of A.dixen’s Death Tapes Trilogy. Following Vol. 1’s dark ambient and hazy meditative melodies Vol. 2 adds jungle breaks, broken beats and pulsing drum machine patterns into the mix. Building on the textured and layered soundscapes from the previous album, Vol. 2 is a natural progression and further exploration of the haunting Death Tapes universe.

Across the albums 12 tracks A.dixen creates a hypnotic and deeply personal journey navigating feelings of love and loss, fear and hope, traversing through otherworldly and ethereal atmospheres and emotions. Composed and recorded in Copenhagen during spring and summer 2019, the album is crafted on his modular synth merged with organic source material and distorted field recordings. Death Tapes Vol. 2 is the second instalment in a trilogy set to release during 2019 and 2020.
