01 - VoodooVibe - Grandpa's Dinner

'For Now' is a dedication to "Mother Earth and is in part, the sorrow that I feel for the desecration of Planet Earth. The piece is in the form of a soundscape, for the want of a better genre description. However that aside, I still have a positive attitude towards over coming the forces of darkness, that are intent upon destroying this beautiful place that we all call home. So Happy New Year to all and health and happiness for 2022.

Like most people, I have heard this song many times, read the poem.
 But now I understand the depth of this poem, so sore and fragile. 
Thank you from heart Debra and Phil,  two wonderful musicians. A JOY.

If you need one poem for regrets in your life, then it must be this poem. 

Down by the Salley Gardens was written by W B Yeats (1889), who is generally known as one of Ireland’s greatest poets.

    Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet;
    She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet.
    She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree;
    But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree.

    In a field by the river my love and I did stand,
    And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand.
    She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs;
    But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.

 Yeats published the poem in his collection, The Wanderings of Oisin and Other Poems in 1889. 
In a note on the poem, he said that he was trying to reconstruct an old song he had heard being sung by a woman in the village of Ballisodare in Sligo.

Down by the Salley Gardens was written as a poem and remained that way until 1909 when Herbert Hughes set it to music using the old Irish melody, The Maids of Mourne Shore.

Here's a guitar jam/solo I wrote that takes inspiration from the guitar solo section of Poison's Bodytalk, as I am a huge Richie Kotzen fan, he's one of my favorite guitar players. I made this long jam and just free-styled over it. I added a lot of layers with the use of organs/electric pianos and some trumpets. 
All guitars, bass guitar and organs/pianos were recorded by me, as well as the programming for the drums, trumpets and sax.
My go to guitar for the entire song was my schecter custom

"Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Now, retired, he is devoted solely to music: home recording with the platform of choice, Soundcloud and global collaborations."
