Denis and I threw this one together.  I always liked the arrangement but not too keen on the words for this one.  But it was fun to sing anyway.  No overdubs, denis on guitar.

This is a bit of an obscure one.  Paul McCartney loved these old styles and wrote a number of great tunes which never made it to release.  I heard this on in the 80s and loved it.  Came across it again the other night, and well here is my take.  Another gem by Paul

I haven't played this song in a good number of years... Probably sometime in the 90s.  Today I felt like I needed it.

My brother recorded this the other day and asked me to do the vocals.  Always fun to collaborate with Denis.  You should check out his channel.  He's in my faves.

Couldn't sleep, still jet lagged... and wishing I was somewhere else.  Couldn't get this song out of my head.  For obvious reasons if you know me....

Haven't quite finished this one yet, but feeling lazy tonight.  Will through some sort of lead on this one sooner or later.  Actually recorded this one in the Summer and forgot about it.

Tomorrow - (Paul McCartney Cover) - remastered

This is a pretty yet sad song that has become a holiday main stay. This one reminded me of my Sister when it first came out.  She was away in the military.  Heck or was it my brother, I can't remember now.  Now it just reminds me of everyone.

2000 Miles - Den and Jim - (The Pretenders Cover) - remastered

This is a great tune by Gordon Lightfoot.  I heard someone cover The Greatest Love of All, and was reminded that Gordon Lightfoot sued the writers of that tune.  I can kinda hear why. Anyway, great tune by Gordon, and I like it better than The Greatest Love Of All anyway.  I worked on this version with my Brother in Boston. It's kind a fun to do these long distance collaborations.

If You Could Read My Mind - Den and Jim - (Gordon Lightfoot cover) - remastered

Great song song written in the 60s by Chip Taylor.  The Pretenders cut this tune but it never charted.  Chrissie Hynde makes a guess appearance on Friends and performs this at Central Perk... That is my favorite version of the tune.

Heard this song today and wondered why I never had before.  Nice little song by Paul McCartney.  Apparently it was meant for Red Road Speedway when it was going to be a double album but was cut. It's showed up as an extra on various remasters.  

Country Dreamer - (Paul McCartney & Wings cover) - remastered

This song always reminded me of my Partner.  It came out shortly after we met, and I have to say I find it difficult to listen to now.  Brings back too many emotions.  This is Hans with our goddaughter Debritu.  I took this photo of them together when we visited the Childrens Museum in Boston. Hans was already sick but we didn't know it.  But there is, for me, something about the way he looked. He was so afraid to meet Debritu, but they took to each other right away.  She still remembers her Uncle Hansy.

This one slipped by me. Heard it last night for the first time and loved it. Was too tired to record harmonies but will get back to that i'm sure.

Calico Skies - Den And Jim - (Paul McCartney Cover) - remastered

This would have have been our 20th anniversary..... never gone from my heart mister.  Recorded this one remotely with my brother Denis.  He send me the base guitar picking track.. I added the main vocal.   I tried to layer a piano part but just didn't like how it sounded, so I added a guitar or two.  I later added additional vocals  (and the crickets).  When I'm home during summer and record in the living room, I love the way the crickets sound, so I recorded them.  Some of the backing vocals I added by singing into a rolled up magazine to get this sort of organ sound.
