11 tracks originally released on the indie dance label GOMMA RECORDS between 2001 and 2010. (Gomma was the label Toy Tonics did before starting Toy Tonics.)
Along with DFA and Output records Gomma released a wild mix of electronic dance music, indie rock, underground disco, post punk and new wave funk that was big in the 2000s. The Y2K sound!

Gomma released music by artists like Peaches, Whomadewho, The Rammellzee, James Murphy, LCD soundsystem and artists like Nick McCarthy of Franz Ferdinand.
Now it’s 2024 and it feels fresh to put a spotlight on some of these tracks again. 
And so here comes a 2nd compilation part of Gomma tracks:
Nancy Whang the singer of LCD Soundsystem, WhoMadeWho (the band started their career on Gomma), Italian disco producer Bottin, UK Indie Disco hero The Deadstock 33s aka Justin Robertson, NY Disco hipsters In Flagranti, German producers Munk and many more on this compilation.

Cologne’s Bryan Kessler makes his debut on Catz N Dogs;' Pets Recordings with his ‘Party Like You’re Not Alive’ EP. The title track is clearly a dancefloor weapon. As the label describes, it delivers "pure drum machine poetry, all jacking and soul-hacking, ‘Party Like You’re Not Alive’ could easily raise the dead." We're inclined to agree!

Following their remix of Telepopmusik last year, the freshly-formed duo of Keinemusik affiliates deliver such an acid weapon Justin Strauss insisted they release it after it caused total Panorama Bar meltdown for him.
We’ll start with a little teaser… ‘The Moon Landing Was A Hoax’ takes off with pure 303 bounces before sharp vocal cuts pepper the mix leading to a heaven-opening breakdown. Total euphoria; it’s so powerful it totally misses the lunar landscape and spins us back around our own planet faster and faster with every emphatic layer.
It’s backed by ‘Overlooked’, a crisp up-tempo electro jam with creepy bass arpeggios, springy bass fills and a sudden hooky switch mid-way that will drive your own dancefloor into another meltdown. Old school, positive, so simple but so effective; this is impossible to
overlook.

Unearthing lost gems from deep underground is RFX’s speciality. With regular releases on his own imprint Fauve Records based in Hong Kong, we saw it fit for RFX to grace us with 4 edits from the beyond for our first On Point Worldwide Edits series. The first track is a heavy boogie electro beat with a lovable crackling sound, a very rare tune found in the UK attics with a lot of luck. Following this is a groovy Italo influenced jam with a bouncy feeling, perfect for those weirdos to do their thing on the dance-floors. The third is a Kwaito edit with the simplest of flute melodies and a raw beat that gets you hooked in the first 30 seconds. Add a splash of acid to the track and you get a late-night anthem. Last but not least, a choppy break-beat style track with Indian percussions & dark heavy bass for all those sweaty clubs.

Having just celebrated their 10th birthday last year @future-disco continue to help shape the modern disco landscape. Recent releases with some of the stand out artists from the scene including Jacques Renault, Saison, Lifelike and ridiculously hot up-and-comer Vhyce have seen the label push on to even greater heights recently. When it comes to A&R they continue to be at the top of their game.

July 31st see's the label back with their 13th compilation 'Visions Of Love'. Mixed as always by label boss Sean Brosnan it's a sure fire reminder of what attracted all of us to the label in the very beginning. Soulful moments sit side-by-side with stand out Nu Disco, piano anthems and electronic masterpieces. It's a huge addition to their mix series.
