This was my third collaborative song with Rodolfo, which we started in 2020. The original instrumental piece he gave me sounded like determined optimism and at that particular moment the pandemic made its way into anything I wrote although the beauty of the song is that anyone can bring their own interpretation to its meaning. Its original title was ‘Camino a Mañana’, that I translated as ‘The Route To Tomorrow’ - I guess I liked the alliteration - even though it was a bit of a tongue twister to sing.

I instantly loved the rhythmic punch of this track and recognised early on that it would require a punchy lyric and vocal. Initially I sung the harmony vocals that Rodolfo devised, but as we later developed into the band ‘Continental Collision’ it made sense to draw on all of the talent available in Ce and Gonza, and here introducing Cintia Galeano. Huge thanks to my wonderfully gifted collaborators, you helped make this song shine. I was stunned (as always) by Rodolfo’s attention to detail, his glorious guitar solos and particularly the drumming throughout. Although I might not add to the instrumentation personally, Rodolfo always encourages me to give him feedback. I am particularly fond of this collaboration and each time we work together I learn so much more. Hope you enjoy it too and many thanks for listening.

tragedies repeat throughout history it seems because people lose site of history, lost in pursuing temporary comforts . We have to remember history, not distort it or whitewash it an learn from it if we ever hope to stop the next self made disaster.

I read an article the other day where the term " Single use soldier " was used, poorly trained and ill equipped soldiers who are sent to the front line as a distraction whilst the main offensive is being carried out somewhere else, there is only one outcome for these poor boys, what have we become ?
This song is for all the "Single use Soldiers" Maybe a few of them might hear it before its too late.

I'm feeling very proud today to contribute to Dirk's work, and share with you the outcome of our collaboration on one of his songs. 
Dirk kindly offered me to have a thought on some of his unfinished songs, and I was immediately touched by this one, One Of A Billion Stars for the meaningful lyrics and the message of Hope it delivers.
Since the beginning, I knew I wanted the same lush guitar I used for the song 1.00am, fitting so well with Dirk's voice. But this time I wanted it more subtile and more in the background than it was for our previous collab.
Then I realized that the chord progression Dirk composed was a perfect base for an instrumental chorus, with more guitars and spatial synths sounds. Finally I added a catchy synth lead line, modestly recalling Justice, which gave the modernity that this pop ballad needed to get revealed.
