Hands, So beautiful, We can do so much good with our hands, reaching out to other person as a sign of Peace and love, to play an Instrument, to paint a picture or just to hold someone else's hand when they need someone. But we can also do so much harm with our hands, we can hit, break, hold a gun to kill someone wave a fist in Anger. My hands are used to Love and play my Guitar. What are your hands used for ?

While pursuing a career in academia Phil also continues his career in music. He first started to learn the piano at the age of five and at ten began playing the piano accordion. At thirteen he started to learn the guitar. He has played keyboards, guitar and accordion professionally for many years. Phil also writes and records his own songs that have been played by bands in the UK. He is influenced by Ronnie Lane (Small faces/ Slim chance), Eagles, Van Morrison, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackberry Smoke.

I’m a song-writer who enjoys creating music of any genre.

My son recently introduced me to A.I. and taught me how to do covers of my previously released non-A.I. music. Since I've never considered myself a performer (except playing with worship bands at church or solo-piano at a rehab center) using A.I. is right up my alley.

Since I've  exhausted using my previously released music for A.I. covers, I now compose music in a DAW, rip to a wave file, and make an A.I. cover of this wave file. I then write lyrics to the A.I. music. It takes around 100 A.I. iterations to complete the lyrics and get a style I'm happy with.  

Brief Bio: Lived more than a quarter of my life overseas (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan). Each country gave me an appreciation for different types of music plus probably why I get bored easily in sticking with one genre or another.

Deutscher Singer-Songwriter über fünfzig Jahre alt. Seit fast vierzig Jahren schreibe und singe ich Lieder. Mein Hauptinstrument ist die akustische Gitarre, aber ich mag auch Perkussionsinstrumente (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). Ich liebe es, melancholische und poetische Balladen zu komponieren. Aber manchmal schreibe ich auch (schwarze) humorvolle Songs, Jazzstyle und -Rocksongs. Meine Hauptsprache ist Deutsch. Aber in Zukunft will ich mehr Songs auf Englisch und vereinzelt auch Französisch schreiben.
In meinen Kompositionen bin ich inspiriert von Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Jacques Brel, Van Morrison und Bob Dylan. Auf meinen Platten spiele und singe ich alles alleine. Meine Vision für die Zukunft ist es, Musiker aus verschiedenen Kulturen zu finden, die gerne ihre Tracks mit mir teilen wollen.
Mein persönliches Mantra ist ein Satz, der von Paul Mccartney auf dem Beatles-Album "Abbey Road auf dem Track "In the end" vor fast Fünfzig Jahren geschrieben wurde:

Die Liebe, die Du bekommst ist gleich der Liebe, die Du gibst.

German singer-songwriter over fifty years old. For almost forty years I have been writing and singing songs. My main instrument is the acoustic guitar, but I also like percussion instruments (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). I love composing melancholic and poetic ballads. Verdammt! Vor 25 Jahren wollte mich Peter Gabriel verklagen, weil ich unter meinem realen Namen Gabriel Musik machte (kein Witz). Inzwischen gibt es so viele mit dem Namen Gabriel, dass ich auf kaum einem Streaming-Portal mehr gefunden werden kann. Höchste Zeit also für einen neuen Namen! Es würde mich sehr freuen, wenn ihr mir weiter gewogen bleibt. Denn außer dem Namen ändert sich nichts.

Damn! Twenty-five years ago, Peter Gabriel wanted to sue me because I was making music unsing my real name, Gabriel (no joke). Now there are so many people named Gabriel that I can hardly be found on any streaming portal anymore. So it's high time for a new name! I would be very happy if you would continue to support me. Because apart from the name, nothing else is changing.
