This is the latest single from my upcoming album Ember. I've never self harmed, but I wrote this song when I was in a really dark place emotionally. I didn't want to shy away from the imagery I talk about in the song when I created this video. However, I don't want it to seem like I am romanticizing suicide or self harm. There are always other options even when it seems like there aren't. That being said if you feel like you have nobody to talk to, even if it's just that you want someone to ask how your day went, you can always reach out to me at woozlesband@gmail.com or through any of my social media, especially Tumblr. It feels weird putting something this personal out into the world and I just seriously hope that you like it and that we can all get through the different things we’re going through together. Turning Leaves is the first single from the dreamy bass/vocal EP "Sharpen" by Woozles. Sharpen is going to be released on February 10th via Deadplant Records. It was heavily inspired by World of Echo by Arthur Russell and mastered by Warren Hildebrand (of Foxes in Fiction).
