Acoustic Covers

A simple acoustic cover of one of my favorite ballads. Done on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar and recorded through Garage Band on a Mac Book. Wanted to keep it simple. Didn't do any layering, and didn't go back and fix mistakes. This was all done in one take, with some reverb added through the program. That's it.

Dagger (Slowdive Cover)

A cover of my favorite Brand New song, done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used garage band on a Mac computer to record 7 separate tracks. This allowed me to have 3 vocals, 3 guitars, and one percussion all at the same time. I hope you enjoy it!

Jesus Christ (Brand New Cover)

A cover of one of favorite songs by Nine Inch Nails, done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used garage band on a Mac computer to record 3 separate tracks. This allowed me to have 1 vocal track with no effects on it, 1 clean sounding guitar track, and one distorted sounding guitar track all at the same time. I hope you enjoy it!

Right Where It Belongs (Nine Inch Nails Cover)

A cover of my favorite song by The Cranberries, done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer to record 5 separate tracks. This allowed me to have 2 vocals, 2 guitars, and one percussion all at the same time. I hope you enjoy it!

A cover of my favorite song by Porcupine Tree, done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer to record 5 separate tracks. This allowed me to have 2 vocals, 2 guitars, and one percussion all at the same time. I hope you enjoy it!

Lazarus (Porcupine Tree Cover)

A cover of a track that Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth and Josh Silver of Type O Negative did together for the Roadrunner Records 25th Anniversary album, Roadrunner United: The All Star Sessions. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could layer 4 different tracks together (2 vocal tracks and 2 guitar tracks). A cover of a great classical sounding guitar piece by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd on their classic album The Wall. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could record and layer 2 different tracks together (2 guitar tracks layered on top of each other to give it a fuller and louder sound). Is There Anybody Out There? (Pink Flody Cover)

A cover of a great bossa nova sounding guitar piece by Between the Buried and Me on their album Alaska. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could record and layer 3 different tracks together (2 guitar tracks layered on top of each other to give it a fuller and louder sound as well as a track of me snapping with some echo on it to provide rhythmic sounds of drums) . Laser Speed (Between the Buried and Me Cover)

A cover of a great one of my favorite Katatonia songs. This is from their album Last Fair Deals Gone Down, and sees the band blending their brand of doom metal with alternative rock. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could record and layer 5 different tracks together (2 guitar tracks layered on top of each other to give it a fuller and louder sound, 2 vocal tracks so I could harmonize with myself, as well as 1 track of me banging on my guitar with some echo on it to provide the rhythmic sounds of drums). Teargas (Katatonia Cover)

A cover of my favorite song by OSI, a side project of Kevin Moore (formerly of Dream Theater) and Jim Matheos (of Fates Warning). This is from their second album and is much different than most of their other songs. It takes a country/folk approach rather than a metal or electronic approach. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could record and layer 3 different tracks together (2 guitar tracks layered on top of each other to give it a fuller and louder sound as well as 1 track of vocals with some echo and reverb on it. Our Town (OSI Cover)

A cover of one of the more popular songs by Coheed and Cambria, who is one of my all time favorite bands. I tend to cover a lot of their lesser known songs and avoid their popular ones, but I decided to change it up a bit. For this cover, I slowed down the beginning like I've seen the band do before, and then sped up the second half so it sounded more like the album version. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitar. I used Garage Band on a Mac computer so that I could record and layer 3 different tracks together (1 track of guitar chords and vocals with reverb and delay, 1 track of clean lead guitar, and 1 track of drum sound made by banging on my guitar as well as vocal harmonies in the background). Pigs on the Wing - Part 2 (Pink Floyd Cover)

A cover of the song "Chasing Cars" by the indie/alternative rock band Snow Patrol. It is dedicated to my wonderful girlfriend Angelica Godoy. This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used garage band on a Mac computer to record 8 separate tracks. This allowed me to have 5 different guitars (main melody, backup tones and chords, harmonies, and leads), 2 vocals (main and backup/harmonies), and one percussion all at the same time. I had been wanting to do it for a long time and I took a while to put everything together. I really hope that you enjoy it! =)

Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol Cover)

A cover of the song "Day" by the Swedish Doom Metal/Alternative Rock band Katatonia off of their second album "Brave Murder Day". This cover was done completely by me on a Taylor acoustic guitar. I used garage band on a Mac computer to record 4 separate tracks. This allowed me to have one track of chords and vocals, one track of arpeggiated chords and vocals harmonies, one track of extra single guitar notes and vocal harmonies for fuller atmosphere , and one track of percussion all at the same time. I had been wanting to do it for a long time and I took a while to put everything together. I really hope that you enjoy it! =)

Day (Katatonia Cover)

This is an acoustic cover of the song "Tautou" by the Brand New, the opening song off of their second album Deja Entendu. The song was recorded using a Big Baby Taylor Acoustic through Garageband on a Mac Computer. 4 separate tracks were used so that this song could be put completely together. 2 tracks of guitar and 2 tracks of vocals and harmonie. Feel So Low (Porcupine Tree Cover)

Lead guitarist/backing vocals for progressive rock/progressive metal band Aeonic Impulse. 

Formed on July 4th, 2011, we released our debut album “A Night for the Troubled” on August 5th, 2016. We are currently in the process of mixing our follow up. 

I also do solo acoustic covers on the side.
