A great collaboration, and I agree with your sentiment. But then again my mother used to say that the only music worth listening to was classical, and my first singing teacher told us that using mics was for losers, and cds could never replace vinyl, and I learned that the only way to record music was on DAT. Times are changing. In recent years I lost almost all ability to play an instrument, so who knows what I'll do when I get really desperate for a song...as for now I'd rather ask a friend, than my computer....

Great song Joe, I enjoyed this - cool concept, upbeat, quirky, fun and poignant. Who knows where the future is going - people seem to not want to put in the hours of practise these days when it comes to learning an instrument. I think there is a place for AI in music, I do not really see the point in generating a full song as where is the creativity in that?! Look forward to more of your music Joe. Thank you.

When Michele Ansani. sent me his initial lyrics for this song, my first thought was that. I wish I had written them because I can relate to much of his musical journey.  He suggested that I turn them into a song so here it is. 

When I was thirteen I picked up my first guitar
it was my mother's, it only had one nylon string 
I tried to play it like a rock star
I learned to play the Coca-Cola jingle
So I could teach the world to sing
When I was fourteen, I put on six new strings
I learned to play Beatles, I learned a Bob Dylan song
I sounded out of tune but I tried to carry on
At fifteen I wrote my first original tune 
So bad it sounded like it might have been written by a baboon
When I was sixteen, I got a new guitar for my birthday
The metal strings sawed through my fingers 
But I continued to play
And the calluses formed and every day I learned a brand new chord
I was obsessed with that guitar and I never grew bored.
I wrote songs every day and most of them were a mess
But I believed that through hard work, I could achieve success
Malcom Gladwell wrote a book that said it takes ten thousand hours
To become and expert at your craft

But now all it takes is two commands and an enter
And in two minutes you have ten versions of the same damn new song,
You just have to choose the type
folk, rock, rap, pop, metal, jazz, trap or blues.

When I was 20, I did my first concert, it was time
it occurred in a village square

This is new take on a song that Rodolfo and I first worked on 4 years ago. He had always imagined it with fine saxophone and great backing harmonies and now that Continental Collision has a wonderful pool of talent to draw on, that has become a reality, thanks to Ce Mastro and Georg Boehme's beautiful contributions.
The song has been given so much more feeling and emotion.

The Beatles were a profound influence on so many of us that grew up during the 60’s, musically, culturally and emotionally. The frenzy they stirred while somehow mostly evoking a certain playful joy will never cease to touch my memories of growing up with hope and enthusiasm. This song covers one of their beautiful old-school ballads, written by John Lennon, and providing a bit of a contrast to their signature rocking hits. It was released in 1963 as a single that ended up on their 1964 album, “Meet The Beatles”. I’ve always loved how it pulled together a bit of the 50’s slow-dance beauty with John’s emotive vocal delivery and the groups tight harmonies and overall Beatles vibe. Happily, Nat was glad to give this cover a go as we revved it up with a somewhat country-bluegrass feel while trying to hold onto some of that Fab 4 charm.
