This one started out as 2 different incomplete projects (in different keys) after failing to fully actualize either I thought I'd fuse the 2 into one piece with lyrics that touch on longing and loss.

Emergence - w/ Enigma Curry

A young woman friend of mine had a baby girl in the spring of 1981. She asked me to make a little music for some verses (a lullaby) she had written for the circumstance. Now, I prefer to shorten the lyrics and add a sort of child's chant - that baby was indeed a very, very precocious singer - and, of course, the super joerxworx' sax (@joerxworx) [thank you as always, Jörg!]
The other audio material is almost all recovered from an early 1990s recording made (together with Elisabetta Verri) on a wonderful Tascam 424 MK II Portastudio (how nostalgic!).

Song for the newborn child who is already singing / with Elisabetta Verri & joerxworx **

This song is the brainchild of Artur, who composed it on his guitar perfectly for collaboration, and presented it to us with his vision for the entire sound. Ken went first, of course, adding his signature rocking beat to the song. I went next, as soon as Ken had laid down the drums, adding my four string fretless bass sound to fill out the rhythm section. 
  Tez came along soon after me, adding some foundational ornamentation with his guitar. JJ jumped in right after Tez, and laid in the majestic organ, riffing electric piano, and subtle synth you hear throughout. Finally, Stephen laid his guitar in there, too, which can be heard as a fiery melodic line running throughout. At Artur's suggestion, he also added some amazing, trippy sitar in a couple of spots, too.
  Once all the tracks were laid down, Stephen came through with his always skillful mix. This makes almost an album worth of material that The Eclectic Collective has created from Artur's ideas. We're always excited when he drops a new one in our laps. He wrote this on a sweet rainy day in the Polish summer. 
  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Sweet Rainy Day (The Eclectic Collective with Surfers Like Us)

Songs with a twinge of humor (and some a bit more serious).  My primary focus right now is songwriting (and I enjoy singing the vocals).  

I can strum a guitar and play chords on the piano but, I have been leaning heavily on .vst plug ins ( EZkeys 2, EZ Bass and  EZ drummer 3) and to try to make them sound as good as I can using  Logic Pro 11.

I do not use AI to create any of my melodies or lyrics. Personally, I enjoy the challenge of coming up with the song using my own human intelligence.
