Happy Friday everyone. :)

Silly story behind this song name. My family can get a little snarky at times (surprise, surprise); and the title is definitely a running joke around the household... following the adoption of our first dog ever. 

Needless to say, we've determined these frightening, bite-sized culinary experiments gone wrong are your furry little friend's worst nightmare. So if you spot one wandering your neighborhood while out on walkies... do not engage. o.o

I hope you enjoy my first actual 2024 offering (completed on January 15th; and also destined for my upcoming album), a dangerous little delicacy called 'Chocolate Covered Garlic Grapes'. :D

The sun kept on shining for three glorious months.
I thought I’d found myself a slice of heaven.
I told myself this an amazing place. 
I could live here forever.
And then the calendar hit September seven.

The cloudy weather came. 
And every day was more of the same.
It made me feel so washed out and grey.

I need to feel the sun shining on my face.
I’m sick and tired of living in this dark and cloudy place.
Rain, rain, rain, rain, go away I’m praying for a sunny day.
I’m checking the weather report constantly to see if - it’s goanna be sunny.
But the extended forecast has indefinite clouds and it’s not very funny.
Not very funny at all as the rain continues to fall.
It makes me feel so washed out so grey and so small.
As I try to make it through another dark and cloudy day.

I take a lunchtime walk.  I wear Gore-Tex jacket for the drizzle. 
I don’t need to wear sunglasses even though it’s 12 noon.
It’s just another cloudy day and it wouldn’t be any more dismal.
if I was strolling on the dark side of the moon.

This cloudy rainy weather - it really gets me down.
It makes me feel so washed out and grey.
