Our mission is to preserve and share humanity's stories in order to build connections between people & create a more just and compassionate world.

Since 1973, the Southern Oral History Program has worked to preserve the voices of the southern past. We have collected 6,000 interviews with people from all walks of life—from mill workers to civil rights leaders to future presidents of the United States. Made available through UNC’s renowned Southern Historical Collection online, these interviews capture the vivid personalities, poignant personal stories, and behind-the-scenes decision-making that bring history to life.

The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world's greatest libraries. We hold over 13 million books, 920,000 journal and newspaper titles, 57 million patents and 6 million sound recordings. Open to everyone, the Library offers events, temporary exhibitions and a Treasures Gallery that displays over 200 items, including Magna Carta, a Gutenberg Bible and lyrics by The Beatles.

The Slade Archive Project is a collaboration between the Slade School of Fine Art and UCL Centre for Digital Humanities centred on exploring and developing the rich archive of the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. 
This project has been funded by a UCL Arts & Humanities Small Research Grant, a UCL Grand Challenges (Small) Grant, with additional funding for the digitisation of these recordings generously provided by The Andor Charitable Trust.

Founded in 1962, the UW Eth­no­mu­si­col­ogy Archives is home to more than 100,000 rare and unique films, videos, and sound recordings. Collected by ethnomusicologists and community members, these materials document global and local music across a range of traditions and styles: Some materials may be restricted or require special permission to access.
