This is a song I wrote about feeling so pressured to be perfect 24/7 that you feel like you're being flung towards this dead end and you just want to press pause for a moment. 

Dead End

I think one of the most comforting expressions is "headphones on, world off."  On really tough days, my sister and I will sometimes just look at each other and say, "Beats on, world off time," and we'll put our headphones on and just completely tune out the world.  It's like when you have your headphones on and you're listening to music, the world can't reach you anymore, and you're in your own little bubble, just you and the artist.
"Headphones On" is about wanting to be that comforting expression personified for someone, because they are that for you.  It's basically saying, "Hey, you're really sad and I hate seeing you sad, because you make me happy.  I want to make you happy like how putting on headphones and listening to music after a bad day to tune out the world makes me happy."

So this is a VERY rough voice memo of this song.  You can even hear the fan on behind it.  And I sound less than excited announcing the song, but trust me, I couldn't wait for you to hear it, and I hope you like it. :)

often i look through my voice memos in search of inspiration from the past. i found this one from a few years ago and adored it. i added some weird synths because why the hell not. i would apologize for the grainy quality of this recording, but i'm not even sorry.

this is something i won't be releasing on the next body of work i put out with my main project, but that i loved enough to release on my little rosé side project.
