Karousel is the new alias from Irish producer Gavin Herlihy. Determined by a steely dedication to timeless deep dancefloor theory, the alias began life on UK vinyl label, Illusion Ltd. He followed it with Arrakis on Sensoramic which was remixed by S.A.M. Gavin started learning to produce in 2005 and less than a year in scored Machine A Homework, a techno opus hailed by Laurent Garnier and DJ Hell as one of the tracks of the year. Over the next few years a move to Berlin lead to gigs at Panorama Bar, Fabric and later Circo Loco and a touring schedule that took him to North and South America, Australia and around Europe. While his productions under his original name took in a variety of different genres and big labels, Karousel is the expression of Gavin's house leanings rooted in the sampling of dusty old jazz and disco records and the use of hardware and vinyl.

Vakum records is a combination of three people who share the same desire for quality and consistent carrier of electronic sound in this era full of information and digital imprint.

Label is designed as a reflection of their taste in a variety of styles present in today's palette of musical productions. It will include international artists as well as homeland producers. Label is currently headquartered in city of Pula (Croatia).The initiators of the Vakum, Borut Cvajner, Alen Špionjak & Ivan Ljutić hope to support as well as contribute to today's vinyl records offer.
