What Does This Button Do?

The song was written with the intention of having multiple meanings so that different people could connect with it in their own way, For me in retrospect its a song about being lost in yourself. The song idea was conceived through looking at a painting in my co writers (David J Cayley) house, the painting looks almost like time lapse photography, its a picture of London with everyone rushing by apart from one person, this person isn't the center of the painting but stands out in their own individual way and this is what me and David both concentrated on establishing though the songs lyrics and music.

the nature of this is ambiguous, 
i don’t know what to say when your hands are so distant.

and my body is hurting with all the locked up punctuation in it,
full stops attached to this.
