Having been heavily supported by the likes of Friction, K Motionz, Kanine, Charlie Tee, Harriet Jaxxon, DJ Marky, goddard, and so many more, 'Freak Like Me' has been blowing the roof off some of the biggest raves and festivals over the past twelve months, becoming one of the D&B scenes most highly-requested dancefloor smashers in the process. I made this track after a lesson with OkayJake. A few years ago, I had the chance to open for him and Tape B in Memphis, which was a really dope experience. I've been a fan of his ever since.
During our lesson, he really emphasized the importance of letting go and not overthinking everything. He stressed not getting too attached to songs, and that really resonated with me-just letting the music flow instead of forcing it.
With this track, I focused less on music theory and more on feeling it out. I hope that comes through for the listener.
