On 21st September the rising French DJ/producer Simo Cell presents new mini album ‘YES.DJ’ – his first solo record since 2018 – released on his own label TEMƎT. A celebration of dance music culture, each of these heavy-duty, titanium-plated bangers are a tribute to different styles of beats, reinterpreted and suffused with his distinct personality.

The release also comes with a fanzine, which continues the celebration of DJing and dancefloors from a sideways perspective, curating photos taken by Simo of drinks tokens from clubs around the world.

Banoffee Pies Records, in its eighth year of operating, hit the 20th release milestone in their Original Series. Joining the roster, Cairo based producer Hassan Abou Alam steps up with a 4 track solo EP entitled “Fasla”. A decisive selection of attitude packed wormhole bass lines and dark basement jams.

The A side was produced in a special collaboration with local artist SHBL-LBSH who’s vocal works feature across “Kesibt” + “Fasla”. The B side delivers sharp cutting synth lines in “Mawkif” and breakneck low end rumbles in “Hanshoof”. After a series of works on the likes of Naive, Not For Profit and Rhythm Section, Hassan fittingly joins the Berlin based, Bristol born label with more boundless sounds that slice through the fabric of styles that BPR have fostered since inception. ‘Everything Merged’ is 3024’s second series of compilations featuring artists from the 3024 Mentoring Program. At the beginning of the pandemic, label owner Martyn started forming a lively online community of artists, providing them with ideas and inspiration. This community grew larger and larger, and musicians started to connect both online and offline, across continents and genres. It resulted in the “It Was Always There” series of compilations from 2021, and countless independent releases, radio appearances and gigs, putting a host of artists on the map.

Working on the program made Martyn and partner Jeroen Erosie reconsider the purpose of running a record label in 2022. ‘Are we still interested in putting out records via the usual channels?’ Or should a label become more of an umbrella for various activities by a larger community, both online and IRL, with digital and physical products, in other words merge everything into one.

“Everything Merged vol. 1” features the awesome music of a group of 3024 alumni from across the globe, interpreting the post-pandemic phase of electronic music each in their individual ways. There are the contemporary percussive meditations of Adam 2, Solair, Klont and Brooklynite No Sir, the 90s garage and rave inspired music of Karis, Agôn, Slovenia’s Hatterri and Noise Casino from Colombia. The exuberant technicolorist bangers of Guava, Blu-e and Cress and the deep hypnotic explorations of India’s Chhabb, MarceauxMarceaux and The Exhausted.
