Artist Commentary: The story of Beijing, as a song, started out - unsurprisingly - in Beijing, China!
I wanted to vent about the paradoxical experience of feeling lonely in such an extraordinary city such as Beijing - ultimately, where I still felt, perhaps understandably, like a foreigner. 
I had the honor of having UK-based producer Darren Martyn listen to my venting, so he could turn it into powerful, cinematic music.
Beijing, however, only saw the light of the day once I was actually not in Beijing at all, which motivated me to rewrite parts of the song from a more distanced perspective. 
I feel very proud of the fact that this song reflects how someone that sometimes can be somewhat sad and introspective can actually be really strong. This song helps me connect to that part of me that feels powerful, and I hope it can help whoever listens to it feel the same way. Thank you so much for listening! I can’t explain how much I truly appreciate it.
