This is the first track of my album "Piano Solo", entirely composed, recorded and produced by myself, and represents the result of my activity as piano composer.

"Piano Solo" was born between Rome and Porto Ercole and almost all of the pieces were composed in the Summer of 2013.

It's an experiment, an attempt to realize an artistic product, using just my own abilities, my knowledges....and my heart.

And all this, with the sublime sound of piano.

This single track is dedicated to my girlfriend Francesca Romana, which always supported and followed me since first notes of "Piano Solo" came to light...

"The song is about having the animal instinct inside you come to life. Running with them, joining them - the instinct taking over, giving you freedom and making you forget about your human self and all things we humans keep around us in the modern society.

I think humans need to let go a bit more, shake their bodies more often, like the animals do.. It's a beautiful thing really.

Sometimes when you look at the world, and you see what we've done to it, the way many of us hurt the world we live in, innocent animals, even our own kind! And that kind of makes you want to follow the wolves instead. At least for one night."

Aurora Aksnes is a 18 year old girl from Bergen, Norway. She strives to write music that can inspire people, through idiosyncratic tales of struggle, love, and all that lies in between.

Roughly 4 minutes of music to a movie that doesn't exist. I just did this for fun. Everything is done i Logic using only the stock plugins and samples. 
Heavily inspired by the greats of this genre.

Gnossienne 1 (Erik Satie)

My new music (created inside a tremendous storm - what is someway always good) is a version to the classic from Erik Satie, Gnossienne 1, a very beautiful original piece from 1890.

For the original melody I used a MIDI file picked from
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bbowman/midi/satie
and made a somewhat spatial arrangement, using two Grand Pianos followed by many Rhodes Electric Piano tracks (in the melody and chords) and four different synths layering the background... in fact. eight synth tracks, as each one of the four instruments are using two different similar tracks (with differences in the distance, panning, presence and time shifting too). 

Here, each instrument has a well defined place in the space.
Easy to recognize, easy to follow... and nice to listen...  :-)

I don't needed to adjust panning manually. I only used a track on the left and a copy on the right, sometimes delayed a few decimal seconds, so the sound starts in the left, generally, and finishes in the right... or returns... ;-)

The secret of the moving is in the manually modulation of the volume level and presence of each one of the twin tracks in the time line... the differences does the spatial and movement sensation by itself in a easy way...  :-)
