Singularity, the Rhythm and Dance Specialists, have been key playaz in the resurgence of the Old Skool in recent years. As a crew, they had humble beginnings, putting on events at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, The Grow in Tottenham and Bar 512 in Dalston, yet, fast forward 5 years and wow how far things have come; from stage takeovers at Boomtown, Glastonbury and Outlook festivals, to international raves, to pioneering brand new genres like Racket, and bringing back the old genres like Darkside DnB. Singularity have supported and pushed countless fresh faces and continue to be a driving force behind exciting music. To celebrate their 5 year anniversary, Singularity took over SET Vault in Woolwich, powered by the incredible Semtex Soundsystem. DJs on the night included long time residents The Bass Injector, Janaway, Guido YZ, Silva Snipa, Dempz, Manny Monsta and Mousai. Make sure to check out their other sets on our channel!

After 2 years, the SUB:MERGED mix series is back with a bang 💥 This time round we’ve invited none other than RK Bass Records head honcho, the mighty Jungalice to showcase her sound. We’ve been sitting on this one a while, ready to lift your spirits in this change of seasons.

Some words from the queen herself:

“So I actually recorded this mix back in February (Sloejoe living up to his name…) and I thought it would really suit SUB:MERGED because it’s a bit more of an exploration into the newer but more heavily breakbeat focussed sound of hardcore & jungle. Building from 150bpm gave me some scope to be a bit more adventurous and feature a few more acidic over tones that have been emerging in the scene over the last few years while also rinsing out some proper heavy amens and big basslines.

Balance - Samurai Breaks

I’ve chosen these cause I think they’re great examples of pushing the boundaries within breakbeat and being a bit weird, wonderful and wickedly wobbly, in true Cobra Sound fashion.”
