Bob Seger once told the New York Times that "Like A Rock was inspired partly by the end of a relationship that had lasted for 11 years. You wonder where all that time went? But beyond that, it expresses my feeling that the best years of my life may have been in my late teens with no special commitments and no career". This iconic tune was used in an advertising campaign for Chevrolet trucks that ran from 1991 - 2004, making it indelibly associated with the vehicles. The song helped sell a lot of Silverados, and is considered one of the best choices for an ad campaign in The History of Music. 'Like a Rock' was the Title song from the thirteenth studio album of same name by American singer-songwriter Bob Seger, released in 1986. My own version humbly presented here with all due respect and appreciation for yet another Bob Seger Sparkly Gem. Did it in my own way, featuring Nylon Strings and Tele Tones floating around in the background.

"Making music with Rodolfo is always exciting and often a challenge, although I know we both find it stimulating, as we always aim to reach high and this post is no exception. This new song, started its gestation almost a year ago, instantly showed a lot of promise and since has been through many stages of exploration and rounds of problem-solving. The painfully blunt lyrics were initially inspired by a friend's brutal relationship break-up, but the final result is much heavier. I hope you find it moving rather than disturbing, I was trying to match the mood of Rod's deeply dramatic music."

"I think it's a fantastic song and you've done an amazing job on both the story and the vocals, especially those tough lines. When I was writing it, I just felt like a modern blues with a techno vibe was taking shape. The final sound was defined by the story and those really dramatic, emotional lyrics. You might want to make it clear that it's a fictional story to avoid giving our friends heart attacks."

Time Will Not Heal

This composition is a piece of my heart, originally created during one of the darkest periods of my life when I was struggling and contemplating ending it all. It was meant as a final message, a musical letter to those I love, capturing everything I felt but couldn’t put into words. Though it was deeply personal, I decided to share it in hopes that it resonates with others who have faced similar struggles or are still struggling. May it serve as a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there’s beauty in expressing what we feel. Thank you for listening.
