Rebel Up has become a household name in the world of underground global music in Brussels, Amsterdam, allover Belgium & The Netherlands and beyond. Their sets and party nights are a global and political culture mash of global sounds spiced with contemporary urban & bass sounds with traditional ethnic reflections from all corners of the world, from African to Arabic, Latin American, Caribbean, Eurasian and far Eastern movements and scenes. The cultural diaspora does not need to be defined by borders, the Rebel Up sound is free, varied and up to date in one roundtripping global sound. Besides hosting the monthly show Nightshop on Radio Campus Bxl and Groovalizacion Radio, Rebel Up will bring monthly live sessions at Kiosk Radio!

After +10 years of being a DJ collective and organisation, it was time to move to the next level and start releasing artists and music that we love. The goal of Rebel Up Records is to be a platform for artists from everywhere, native or diaspora. A big focus on contemporary ‘global’ traditional and electronic music to give various movements a voice that doesn't fit the 'world music' box. Sounds from the global underground is our motto! So far, we have releases from Ghana, Mexico/Brussels, Tunisia/Denmark and Iraq/Brussels, Morocco/Brussels, Portugal, Angola, the Arab diaspora, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and much more.
