Kamel Omais, better known as Dead-Tones, is a Parisian DJ/Producer who moved to LA to further pursue his career in music years ago. His production are extremely varied yet aim at “keeping the warmth of a musical past”. Being originally Lebanese growing up in Ivory Coast, he finds influences from a wide variety of genres ranging from synth pioneers such as Vangelis and Tangerine Dream as well as rhythm masters such as Fela Kuti or even Fairuz, a symbol of the Lebanese musical heritage. Wir wollen ein Komplettpaket anbieten - aus Musik, Text und Bild, welche möglichst aufeinander abgestimmt sind! Dazu arbeiten wir unter anderem mit Fotografen und Autoren zusammen. Es sollen möglichst mehrere Personen (Fotografen, DJs, Producer und Autoren) an einem Podcast arbeiten, sodass eine sich ergänzenden Komposition entsteht. Dieses kunstvolle Arrangement soll immer eine interessante Geschichte erzählen, die der Konsument mit allen Sinnen erfassen kann. Dabei werden Grenzen überschritten und Menschen zusammengeführt, die ansonsten wohl keinen Bezug zueinander gehabt hätten. Ob sich nun Fotografen einen Podcast aufs Ohr packen und sich auf die Suche nach einen passenden Schnappschuss machen oder Produzenten sich von einem Text inspirieren lassen, vorgeschriebene Vorgehensweisen gibt es nicht. Der gemeinsame kreative Entwicklungsprozess ist das Ziel.

Mit dieser Vision haben wir uns aufgemacht die Welt der elektronischen Podcasts um eine Nuance zu bereichern. Wir haben seitdem viele einzigartige Künstler kennengelernt und wunderbare Synergien unter dem Deckmantel der elektronischen Tanzmusik erzeugt. Vor ungefähr einen halben Jahr sind wir auf die Werke von Alex Doering gestoßen und haben einen Artist gefunden, der unsere Philosophie mit ganzem Herzen auslebt. Zusammen mit Autor Michael Kolain hat er ein Hörspiel über und mit Musik geschaffen, was wir so bisher noch nicht erlebt haben. Auf seiner Seite steht folgendes dazu:

Wir waren so begeistert von diesem Gesamtkunstwerk, dass wir Alex nach einer Fortsetzung gefragt haben. Er war sofort angetan von dieser Idee und hat sich wieder zusammen Michael Kolain ans Werk gemacht. Herausgekommen ist statt einer Fortsetzung seines Hörspiels "Spätsommer 27" eine unglaublich detailverliebte musikalische Neuinterpretation von bekannten Gedichten und philosophischen Texten. Durch die Harmonie von Text und Musik entsteht eine große atmosphärische Dichte, die den Zuhörern durch dieses Set begleitet. 
Lasst euch auf eine etwas andere Art entführen in die Welt der Dichter und Denker!

For the seventh issue from Alpha Black we introduce four new artists and a vocalist. Led by Marat Mode's accompanied by the soothing voice of Eleonora, we receive an artist that is set to take over with his music. He provides us with an laid back bomb. A classic deep house bass, the beautiful voice of Eleonora, and harmonic textures. Followed with piano notes and a tender arp on top, the Original Mix of Endless is a complete throwback bomb, envolving the listener into a sentimental state. We then receive three remixes coming from M.E.M.O., Odagled, and Juanjo Tur. Each one adding their own touch. With the award for best hispanoamerican deephouse artist by Vicious Magazine, and releases on Mobilee, M.E.M.O. takes the softness and tenderness of the original and adds sharpness to it, becoming more aggressive. An ongoing arp that holds itself in the track and percussion that makes you want to move to the groove. Odagled takes us to a peaceful state. A calm and soothing ambience that complements the vocals from Eleonora and engulf you into a state of meditation. Finally, but not least, Juanjo Tur. He brings us the most fast paced of all versions, with a strong low end kick and subkick that are accompanied alongside a melodical texture on top and the vocals in the middle, carrying a dancy vibe with an hypnotic vibe to it. This instalment of Alpha Black will be available for preorder on beatport the 11th of May, and released the 25th. The 8th of June on the rest of platforms.

Esther Silex (@esther-silex) has an unquestionable status as an impassioned powerhouse with enough West German swagger to create timeless music with equal parts simplicity and beauty. After a nomadic upbringing all around Europe she started to play records at the tender age of 17 and quickly became an integral part of her hometown Cologne’s house and techno scene. Now based in Berlin, her sets are anything but predictable, with an eclectic selection that somehow weaves seamlessly through techno and house to soul, funk, afro and disco. They are always a reflection of her musical diversity and don’t adhere to any formula, whilst remaining entirely and explosively dance floor friendly. She has releases on the Swedish power label 'Studio Barnhus' and her old label 'LIKE records' from Cologne. Since Summer 2019 Esther is officially KaterBlau-Resident and part of this legendary Berlin family.
