Originally recorded by BBC Radio 1 UK and aired on the Annie Nightingale show back in 2006 this mix showcases the diversity of well known DJ's Krafty Kuts & A Skillz. So stoked that I FINALLY got around to finishing the second installment of my ’20 Years a Kid’ mixtape series! This second edition covers the years 1998 - 2000 when big beat was mutating into breaks and funk influenced music still reigned supreme. It’s one of the things I love about this era, it’s all about THE FUNK. The funkier the better! Personally I feel that’s something that’s missing a bit these days and is more than due for a comeback (watch this space 😉). For those of you who remember the legendary Globe days in Sydney then this should take you right back to the dancefloor on one of those epic nights! Hard to believe some of these tunes are 20 years old! Good music never dies it seems (or at the very least stops making you bust ‘funkies’ on the dancefloor)! Hope you dig! x
