On the fringes of the dubwise sound.

He wandered into the darkness, seeking the fringes of the dubwise sound. It was electronic music that skirted around and sometimes delved into the traits of dub, dub techno, and minimal techno. It captured some essence of these traits, making it skirt around the fringes of dubwise.
The music was hypnotic, a mix of rhythms and melodies that transported him to another world. For hours, he danced with the others, lost in the sound.
But he knew he was still an outsider, only partially accepted by the core group of musicians and fans. He continued to attend the nightly gatherings, always searching for something more.
One night, he saw a flyer for a dubwise music festival. Without hesitating, he went, hoping to find a place where he truly belonged.
As he danced and played his music, he realized that he had found his tribe, a group of people who shared his passion for the fringes of the dubwise sound. And even though he was still an outsider in some ways, he felt more at home than ever.
As the festival ended, he knew the journey had only begun. The fringes of the dubwise sound were constantly expanding, always changing, and he was ready to explore them.

If you think of Kaiserslautern techno, you think of Heinz Ficktion (Marc Keim). When he started DJing in 1995, SAAYY WHAAAT, yes, you heard that right, already more than 20 years in the game and still at the forefront.
It's clear whether it's quiet house discs or minimal dark pieces. Heinz Ficktion makes it possible. He played in every club in the southwest, played the legendary Bar25 and Kater in Berlin and ticked off an endless list of clubs. James Reid, a British DJ, producer, and record label owner, spent 9 years as a resident DJ in Ibiza. Starting his career in Harrogate in 1998, he honed his skills in Ibiza's top venues. 

Influenced by the US West Coast sound of the early 2000s, James discovered the underground sounds of France and Romania, which now define his style. 

His sets feature infectious grooves and a stripped-back minimal sound. With an impressive track record, James has performed in renowned venues like Space Ibiza, shared decks with Carl Cox, and played at prestigious events such as S.A.S.H. in Australia. 

As a music producer, he has released on notable labels and launched his own vinyl-only record label, Sonet Music, in 2018. Currently based in England, James is fully dedicated to his music and record label. Hit play and enjoy the journey!
