Subosc Records presents a new project from a mysterious artist identified as "The Floating Illusion".

The release is a Mini LP with 6 tracks that showcase a journey of sophisticated imaginary.

"Way of changes" starts the journey with a mesmerizing vibe. A dusty lo-fi synth that generates fragmented abstractions with an analog feeling is the central element of the track.

"Everything Disappear" continues with an emotional offering inspired by fate and by the provisional nature of every form of life on the terrain world.

"Astralia" takes place providing a contemplative multi-layered soundscape with a cosmic aesthetic.

"Era of the Slaves" presents a fast-paced arpeggiated wonderland with a dense and evolving background atmosphere

"Comeback" offers an evocative and uplifting narrative characterized by bleeping hi-tech stimulations and luscious pads.

"The Floating Illusion" concludes as a revelatory high-speed epilogue with a tragic and immersive sound modeling.

Epoché is a Prague-based DJ who started DJing two years ago. He was noticed by the Prague’s underground community around the club Ankali. The club’s techno musical culture influenced him pretty much, and two outstanding labels, Harmony Rec. and Hypnus Records, from the deep and hypnotic techno genre, clearly drove him to polish his own musical techno style. With friends, he founded the Organizovany Plevel collective and his musical direction turned to the industrial and proto/electro genre. During the Covid-19 pandemy, he and his collective took part in the Virtual Healing which was a platform for collectives streaming their own events. He played at the Underdogs club, the Rush Festival and the Seismic in Prague. Now Epoché is focusing on bringing some good techno and electro juice.

We are thrilled to announce that Nathan Solo, representative of the Prague scene, undoubtedly one of the most interesting names offered by domestic club electronics, accepted out invitation and took part in our podcast series.

Nathan, formerly known as Binar (Polygon collective), is currently mainly engaged in his own production. You can find his latest release on the compilation Selected Works #5 of the Prague label Beef Records. Analogue media lovers will certainly be interested in the cassette, which was released this summer on his own newly emerging label Solo Catalogue. In addition, he participated in the production on the Virtual Healing platform, collaborates with the XYZ project as a graphic designer and also manages to devote himself to djing.

For our podcast, Nathan recorded a live jam using his favourite instruments, DSI Tempest and Elektron Octatrack. Monotonous rhythms and disturbing sound darkness underlined by the rawness of his own handwriting perfectly captures his work. It will definitely not leave you in peace.
