The new collaborative release between Folcore Records (Barcelona) and Fértil Discos (Buenos Aires)

A double album made up of remixes of the vinyl released in 2019 "El Camino de Leda" that featured the participation of Chancha Via Circuito, La Charo, Uji, Shaman Herrera, Tremor, Barda, El Remolón, Soema Montenegro, Dat García, King Coya , Pol Nada and more representatives, both of the organic electronic sound of Buenos Aires and singers of contemporary Argentine folk and urban music.

This time, artists from different latitudes remix the tracks of the original ones to create new sounds in song format, to make them suitable for the dance floor in slow mode and also to listening them on any occasion. It has the participation of Klik & Frik, Rodrigo Gallardo, Guazú, Derrok, Tribilin Sound, Carla Valenti, Qechuaboi, Lucas Lead, Mente Orgánica, Nixtamal just to mention some of the collaborations.

El Camino de Leda Remixes Vol.1 and Vol.2 is a new tribute to Leda Valladares, two volumes that include 10 songs each. Available on all streaming platforms.

El nuevo lanzamiento colaborativo entre los sellos Folcore Records (Barcelona) y Fértil Discos (Buenos Aires) Un disco doble compuesto por remixes del disco editado en 2019 El Camino de Leda que contó con la participación de Chancha Via Circuito, La Charo, Uji, Shaman Herrera, Tremor, Barda, El Remolón, Dat García, Soema Montenegro, King Coya, Pol Nada y más representantes, tanto del sonido electrónico orgánico de Buenos Aires como cantantes de la música folklorica y urbana  contemporánea argentina.

En esta ocasión, artistas de diferentes latitudes remezclan las pistas de los tracks originales para crear nuevas sonoridades en formato de canciones, tan aptas para la pista de baile en modo slow como para su escucha en cualquier ocasión. @yemanjo is a producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ based in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. His evolving tastes encompass traditional ethnic music from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, shamanic downtempo, and global bass as well as soul, funk and hiphop.

Yemanjo's music is a rich and polyrhythmic concoction of downtempo and organic house beats meeting Latin, African and Middle Eastern influences in the form of ethnic instruments and tribal chants.  His new single "Bedawi" (Arabic for Bedouin) is a buoyant dub instrumental complimented by hypnotic percussion, traditional Middle Eastern instruments and his signature live trumpet melodies--the perfect vibe to accompany your trip through the desert.

In this album, produced over the last three years, Pássaro speak about the last instant before the world came into existence, the creation of the first life and the first sounds.

Pássaro is a trio from Brazil composed by Irû Waves, Ygor Marotta & Tomás Xavier. They have been exploring this collective way of composing music together since 2019, inspired by hundreds of jam sessions and by the psychedelic landscapes of Brazil’s nature.

Ecuadorian singer Huaira has created a buzz and a tuned in fanbase across Latin America through just a small number of releases and unforgettable features with the likes of Nicola Cruz's ("Prender Del Alma"), Los Espiritus, Rodrigo Gallardo, Fernando Milagros and more. Now, she is coming together with the talented Berlin based producer Captures for a series of special singles on Wonderwheel. The first, "Sonámbula", a “realismo mágico” song, sonically creates a mystical vibe through it's dark bassline, unearthly synths & sound effects that swirl in the darkness of the track, while Huaira's vocals range from interspersed words to near-chantlike verses and lilting phrases. Lyrically, the track talks about the space of the waking dream. It speaks of our choice to be present in this illusion or dormant while we walk through each passing day...the storytelling of the dream, the eternal lover within ourselves and the many mirrors we encounter in our relationship to others.

Ecuadorian born Joaquin Cornejo’s KOMOREBI serves as an excellent introduction to the label, with emotive sounds and soulful lyrics creating a beautifully peaceful track. This is a song built around almost forgotten vocal recordings of the amazing English singer Wabi Sabi and resampled old magnetic tape recordings that make up the rich textural background.

Anka Foh is made up of Malian singer Dasmy Jo and French producer Ditti. The duo met at a series of culture mashing, genre defying jam sessions between musicians from all over the world in Paris’ underground bars. The two artists clicked and came together to work on some of Dasmy’s original compositions - within a few months decided to form Anka Foh.

Shika Shika is excited to share their first EP, Kounady, four tracks of much needed upbeat, joyful, soul music that finds a magical sweet spot between Dasmy’s original compositions, inspired by Mandingue traditional music, and Ditti’s jubilant electronica.

Though the fours compositions are rooted in the West African mandingue tradition, they are taken into a whole new context. Dasmy’s vocals and instrumental lines sit alongside swirling, airy melodies, swaggering beats and Ditti’s trademark bleeps and psychedelic, dreamy synths - the recipe for an explosion of delicious flavours and colours. 

This is summed up on opener Bara or the driving electro-blues track Tâtâ, a song about giving thanks to those that helped and supported us in our lives. The EP ends with the fittingly beautiful lullaby Kounady (a mandingue word that roughly translates as luck) about how we have to look after ourselves and avoid negativity.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.
