Recorded in 2015, this was my first mix as Kutkh Jackdaw. Blackest Ever Black was a huge influence for me back then and both the label and radio shows helped me to discover artists and genres that were completely new and fresh sounding to my ears. Inspired by this, I wanted to compile a selection of tracks that showcased the wide variety of sounds that I was listening to at that time.

Kutkh Jackdaw is a Scottish producer and DJ, now based in Brighton, whose productions and mixes take influence from a wide variety of different genres, from post-punk, darkwave and EBM, to synth, industrial and techno. He uses a range of techniques including a heavy use of inventive sampling, combined with extensive use of vintage 80’s hardware.
