John Fernie, riginally from Glasgow, Scotland, has been a figure in the local Scottish electronic music scene since the early 2000s. With a deep-rooted involvement in organizing and performing at events, he has continually contributed to its growth and evolution.
In recent years, Fernie has further honed his sound design through both music production and live DJ sets, leading to performances at events across Europe and beyond.  His signature sound has strong links to emotional pads and thought provoking energies.  He also collaborates with local deep techno mainstays Repart and Deepbass to promote the Orbits event series, and serves as a podcast curator for the respected Norwegian techno platform Monument.
His discography spans a variety of well-regarded labels, including KVLTO, BAHN·, Informa, and Indefinite Pitch, with more work on the horizon as he continues to push his sonic boundaries.
Fernie is also the founder of Space Textures, a platform dedicated to atmospheric deep techno. The label is steadily expanding, showcasing a growing catalog of high-quality releases.

Barbosa delivers dark club techno with house undertones in Murder on the Dancefloor, a track inspired by the now closed but revered energy of Toronto’s legendary Guvernment nightclub. Built on eerie atmospheres, groovy basslines, and vocal samples that hint at a deeper message, it’s designed as a DJ tool to move bodies and ignite the floor.

Asked by someone on the Canadian Music board to submit a techno track for their new underground dance category, Barbosa didn't feel that his music fit because he produces tools used to mix and craft DJ performances. To stay true to his intent, Barbosa wrote a song that addresses the excessive drug usage we see today, and to remind people that all you need is to focus on the music and give off killer dance moves to connect with each other.

The package is rounded out by Dog on Acid’s smooth, jazzy remix, offering a unique contrast for late-night warehouse sets and after-hours playlists.

Welcome to our podcast, this time we bring you a amazing Brazilian Artist, DJ/ Productor based in Sâo Paulo owner of one great label with great positioning (@oganrecords )

Well known in our community, Cauê is a talented techno artist from São Paulo, Brazil, known for his well-crafted atmospheric and hypnotic sounds.

Over the past few years, he has built a solid discography spanning across renowned labels such as Affin, Khoros, Dorian Gray, Dosis and, more recently, his own project Ogan
Records. In recent years, Cauê’s active membership of the deep techno scene has cemented his reputation as a highly consistent and prolific producer, more recently focusing on live sessions for podcasts.

This time he dives deep into his ambient and experimental side, giving us an hour of melancholic, dark, dense and ethereal ambient that not only explores carefully designed atmospheres and complex grooves, but also uses silence as a musical instrument.

With several releases under his name we are honored that he is also the inaugural artist for us as we venture towards evolving to a label.

Dator was created during a music production challenge, where over 210 members of Aedi were invited to make a track using samples provided by artist alumni of The Memoir podcast.

All submissions were collected in an anonymous playlist and voted on by everyone in the community. The title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

Rain falls here in Brooklyn as time marches on and the changing of seasons creeps ever so closer. The long days of summer wane, fall will soon be upon us. With the shift in seasons, comes a move inside, and for many, a period of recovery from a hectic summer season. Rosario Piscosquito aka Vidění’s forthcoming album ‘Ocean Resonance’ on Ambient Matter marks their second release on the Indefinite Pitch sub-label and the first of this year. 

From cover to cover, Piscosquito expertly guides listeners through a variety of musical realms, maintaining a certain gravitas and crafting a coherent story from beatless to beat, and back again, with each track building on what came before. Refracted Light, our premiere for today sits early in the album but gives a teaser to what lies ahead. Intricate drum patterns and tribalistic bongos scattered throughout lay the foundation for ethereal pads and subtle melodies that continue to unfold for the duration of the track.

Refracted Light and the rest of Vidění’s Ocean Resonance release will be out on September 15th, and we highly recommend checking out the rest of the album.

For the 37th episode, we are delighted to welcome a young face on the French techno scene, already featured on the label, Pablo Diarra alias Saïph, who appears here with Teriak on the famous ACCENTAPE007 cassette. Composer, DJ, and live performer, he recently became a label director with his own record company, Songe Anima Label, which specialises in contemporary oniric techno tales and is now acclaimed by the scene. For this mix, which kicks off the new season, the artist offers us an hour of beautiful melancholy, precise polyrhythms, and fantastic atmospheres that are perfectly in tune with autumn. Fleika grew up during the heyday of Prague’s rave culture, coming of age as a DJ in booths built for a single night only. The Czech techno renaissance shaped him, and the newly born club culture soon embraced him as one of its main protagonists.

Industrial ruins and modernist landmarks marked Fleika’s journey through the blooming nightlife, imbuing his craft with intuition and technical precision. His sets humbly showcase his ability to hijack the mind of a listener. He prefers a quiet dancefloor - no cheers, no chants - just a stomping crowd, locked in their own heads.

As an Ankali resident, he digs anything that kicks, melts, or makes the mind trip, but he thrives most when diving into the vast depths of hypnotic and psychedelic techno - as deep as it gets.
