Krabat Reinterpretation

... *huuusch* und mit einem lauten Knall findet sich Sucram in einem alten Haus wieder. Vor lauter Geröll und Staub kann er seine Augen kaum öffnen. Der Geruch von altem, nassem Zement liegt in der Luft. Es riecht modrig. Wo befindet er sich nur?
Nach einer kurzen Weile kann er sich orientieren. Zugleich hört er ein mysteriöses Geflüster oder war es ein Gezwitscher. Noch auf unsicheren Beinen und durch die Staubwolke geblendet folgt Sucram dieser Stimme. «Hier bin ich, beeil dich Sucram!» Sucram erkennt die Stimme. Es ist sein blauer Octokrakenzeusel Nimsaj, sein treuer Gefährte. «Helf mir das Geröll von meinem Körper zu entfernen. Weißt du was passiert ist?»
«Liebe Nimsaj, ich habe ledigliche Erinnerung verloren seit wir bei Krunbatzi eingekehrt sind.»
«Schon gut, lieber Sucram, lass uns nicht mit Erinnerungen die Zeit verplempern. Es ist an der Zeit, du musst dich beweisen!»
Sie machen sich auf den Weg durch das Gebäude. Immer auf der Hut. Mal löst sich hier ein Geröll, mal fängt es aus einer Ecke an zu zischen. Nimsaj scheint zu wissen, wo das Ziel ihrer Reise ist. «Talina, wird auch bald da sein, bevor es für dich los geht. Der letzte Kampf, die letzte Herausforderung steht dir bevor. Danach wirst du die schwarze Universität führen können.»
«Von was spricht Nimsaj? Welcher Kampf? Die schwarze Universität? Alrac ist doch der...»
Schon stehen sie vor einem riesigen, mächtigen Tor. Geschmückt mit goldenen Ornamenten, grossen Eisensiegeln und einer Art Türöffner, der die Form eines Löwen darstellt. 
«Talina, deine dich liebende und wunderschöne Gefährtin, wird bald da sein. Sie stellt das fehlende Puzzleteil dar...»
Sucram kann sich nicht erklären, wieso er hier ist und was sich hinter dem mächtigen Tor befindet. Es überkommt ihn ein beklemmendes und zugleich zusprechendes Gefühl. Aus welchem Grund wohl Talina mit dabei sein muss? Oder was Nimsaj mit ihrer Aussage über die Führung der schwarzen Universität wohl gemeint hat?
Hinter dem Tor liegen die Antworten... vertrauen wir darauf und lasst uns durch das Tor gehen.

Playing a set live for Earth Day was something very special to me. I celebrated it by mixing organic tracks true to my style and tribal earthy sounds that make your heart pump. My goal was simply to make us forget we are between four walls and bring us close again to the outdoors and nature. Hope you enjoy this Cosmo Cast. It was a lot of fun! @nat-barrera

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, @nat-barrera 's creative involvement with music began when he picked up the drums at the age of 12.
In 2006, Nat moved to Montreal, Canada. He has been producing music ever since, and has been playing in renowned venues across the city and region.
He has also shared his sound internationally, having repeatedly played in Europe, Middle East and Latin America. His distinctive sound matured into an eclectic yet balanced blend of electronic music, unique world music influences and a defined percussive rhythm. Over the years, Nat has had several releases and collaborated with many labels and collectives, like the renowned Bonzai Records, Grrreat Recordings/8Day, Noisefloor Records, and now with the all new powerhouse collective Cosmovision Records.

Archaeological evidence from prehistoric times suggests that the Earth was once viewed as a living, female being. Ancient texts and mythologies support the idea of a female deity associated with the earth and all life. The Phyrigian Earth Mother Kybele was one such figure among many and represented the earth, mountains, caverns, and all nature, the birth of humanity, the universe and everything in it. 

Inspired by this timeless and universal vision, this project is dedicated to featuring and celebrating the bounty and beauty of the creative works of women in music through special podcasts, original releases, and mixtapes curated by women producers, DJs, and musicians of a wide range of genres from around the world. 

In addition to highlighting the works of women in music, Kybele develops opportunities for broader inclusion of and greater collaboration among emerging and established artists  of all backgrounds through the "Friends of Kybele" series.
