Aus Euskirchen gibt es heute geballte Techno Power von dem DJ Stefan Lehmann. Stefan brachte sich die hohe Kunst des Auflegens im Jahr 2020 bei, die seitdem seine große Liebe geworden ist. Er legte seitdem viel im privaten Rahmen auf und veröffentlicht regelmäßig Musik bei seiner eigenen Podcast-Serie, namens SL Podcast. Stefan legt sich musikalisch nicht fest, sondern probiert sich in verschiedenen Genres aus. Das heutige Set ist ein sowohl antreibendes als auch verträumtes Techno Set, das euch gut in die Kar­ne­vals­ses­si­on katapultieren wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr bei Stefan für das Set und wünschen jedem Hörer viel Spaß beim tanzen.

Front 242 Black Out MIXxx 1981-2025

THE TRIP!! Part II: The Ultimate Trip!! is the Second Part of a Psychedelic Trilogy Series titled 'The TRIP!!'.

The idea for this began in the 1990s shortly after the death of Frank Zappa, when I wanted to make 'The Ultimate Mix' of all my favorite (including obscure) Psychedelic and Psychedelic Rock pieces that I particularly admired and was impressed by because there were a number of them I knew at the time that were particularly striking, unique and 'well worth passing on'. This 'list' in my head of works such as this grew over the many years between then and now and finally became what's here: 'Part II' of this trilogy.

The idea of the larger work that this is a part of ('THE TRIP!!') largely grew of out of the 1999 film 'The Matrix' and the idea that there is a secret and mythical 'third pill' (other than the two offered for to Neo by Morpheus in the film's story) that is secret and which hardly anyone knows or talks about.

I was also interested in somehow creating a 'sonic' version of a 'psychedelic trip' in MetaMix (a 'mix of mixes') form.

While Part I dealt with a more 'What's down the rabbit hole?' type of question and orientation and was more cinematic in the themes and sources it drew from.

Part II centers more on the musical side of things. The structure and sequence of this Part II mix is in and of itself intended to loosely mimic a 'psychedelic trip'. Perhaps its best usage for people is that it 'replaces drugs'.

I guess you could say that I set out to create 'The Rolls Royce of Psychedelic Mixes' but I will leave it to you, the listener, to determine if I achieved that.

Also: There's a lot of FLOYD here. I like FLOYD. And I'm not talking about the barber. Most if not all of what I use from them in this mix is from the more 'obscure' part of their catalog and has been adapted (or 'modded') for the overall mix as you can hear.

The greatest care has been taken to present the best sound quality as I can. Lossless versions of sources were used if available and 'remastered' versions were also utilized if appropriate and available.
